Blackberry or PDA?

I'll be curious as to which route you go with this Tony. I get like $70.00 off a phone since I've been with Verizon for a couple years, and am thinking about getting something cooler than the lame phones I've always had. Then again, maybe it's not even worth it since I won't have Internet.

That's what I always thought, but it's nice to have a full keyboard to text, have music right on your phone, and even download programs onto it. I have a program to log my food intake right on my phone

Sweet, that's what I kinda wanted to hear so I have a reason to get one. :D So you don't have the Net on your phone, but can still access programs such as your food intake one?

yeah, some sites allow you to download it on your computer, then from your computer to your phone. The one I got is called MyPersonalDiet. It's kinda like having the PC version of fitday with you everywhere you go. I got it at vidaone.com...I'm sure there are other places to get it

The only downside to the new phone is my wife gets mad when she catches me taking nude photos of her LOL

Bwahaha, you sly cat. :yelrotflmao:

Cool man, thanks for your input, I'm pretty excited about ordering one in the next couple of days. Got my b-day in 5 days, maybe I can talk my gf into making this phone an extra gift. :D

yEAH. If you get a Blackberry, you can get on the Crackberry site and they have all sorts of programs you can download onto the phone and not have to worry about touching the net.

Well I called Verizon earlier and asked about the data plan requirement. The guy told me that they cant even remove the bb plan or its just an error and readds it. The data plan can be dropped from a pda though.

We also talked about his experience with the two devices. He said he loves his Moto Q 9 and prefers the windows based systems over the bb. Also he will never not have a phone with a windows based OS.

ya i seen that. it seems that if you want to send pix/flix messages with a pda/bb its considered data and you get charged data. kinda ****ty since you can do it with a regular phone for free.

Really? I thought you needed to at least have a pix/flix plan to pay for it. Usually it's a text/pix/flix option you add on. I know my gf can't send pictures for free.

Oh ok. Its been almost 2 years since I've had any type of normal plan. I had a nextel up to this time last year so basically I had texts, walky talky and phone (i use phone liberally...nextel sucks!) and then i switched to the iphone...so i'm out of touch.

I take my comment back about the BB Bold/Thunder.

I took the plunge and early upgraded to the BB curve and I'm not crazy about it. The keys are too small for my fingers and the web format is skewed from what you see when surfing the net on a regular PC. Actually some of the links that you would normally be able to click on are not even populated on the site. I'm going to Verizon today to play with a couple of their PDA's and if I' don't like them, I think I'm going to cancel my contract and go with the iPhone.

The weird thing about iphone is you can't receive regular multimedia messages. You have to go online to view them
