Great idea! I have been fast forwarding through that pound for pound stuff, see how I am??
 
I'm a bit like both of you (Addiecakes & MissJellyBelly), I fast forward through the pound for pound challenge info but I also give to my local food bank on a regular basis as well as volunteer to help on the Holidays.
 
so... im watching the premier episode and im just getting thru the intros. Not that we have to, but im finding myself aligned with the yellow team... Sunshine is the gals name. We are close in age, and close to spot on with the weight. so... i think thats the color i would choose. Sunshine is also a nickname i ended up with at some point as well : )

So how are things going to work. Is it just a weigh in, or are we going to have 'homework' challenges ... do we get eliminated??

I wasn't planning on eliminating anyone, unless they skip weigh ins, or disappear.

To keep things simple, I probably wont track the results of any 'homework' challenges, since the only goal is to get the highest percentage of weight loss.

However, if people want to do 'homework' challenges, we could incorporate those.
 
Now I'm getting slightly nervous that it's getting closer!

Last night when I was watching the show, I was just thinking to myself, imaging what kinda hell they are going through during those workouts. I know I've worked out hard and could hardly move a couple days later. Well those workouts are harder that they're doing, and I have no idea how they can even move to keep doing the workouts (especially the last chance workout!)
 
Don't know if this violates forum rules (mods please delete post if it does) but a couple of people mentioned not being able to see the show as they live outside the U.S....well, I live in the U.K so I watch the U.S NBC live online via TVU Networks (just google 'TVU Networks'). Alternatively the shows are always available to downoad the day after broadcast via torrents & Usenet.....

Just note that TVU sometimes uses a West coast feed for NBC, so it may be GMT-8 here in the U.K (which is a late night!)

Hulu works as well. Just watched an episode actually.
 
I know this is a biggest loser challenge, but I think if you can't watch the show or if you get a different season or whatever, I don't see why you still couldn't do this challenge.

The main thing would be to exercise and try and lose weight each week (which is what everyone is wanting to do anyways right?) and then just make sure you weight in every Tuesday by the deadline time.

I don't see why you'd HAVE to watch the show to be able to do that. This challenge is to help motivate us and we're doing it through the inspiration of the Biggest Loser, but I still think anyone could do it whether they can watch the show or not as long as they make the weight ins.

Now I'm just assuming this, so if I'm wrong, just correct me MissJellyBelly!
 
Great Point!! :D!!! ...and I think once we choose teams...we should all upload the color of the shirt team we are on as out Avitar!! :D! It'd be so nice to see them floating around the forum!! Inspiring!!! :cheers2:!
 
I'm in :)!! I'd like to be on the green team (love Tara from season 7) or the purple team (my favorite color) :). Is this gonna be a partners thing or a team thing? I really like Jillian so I'd like to be on the black team if we don't do the partners thing.

I'm from South Africa and we currently have the Biggest Loser UK season 1 running here. It shows on Sundays and it would be episode 10 tomorrow! I neva miss any of the shows.

I will probably also post a day earlier due to the time difference!!

That avatar idea is awesome... then can see whos what team, and who ya with and stuff without people having to mention it all the time. Just got a few questions though:

1. will you put everyone's percentages up on here in a big list so we can see how we done against each other? And will you work out team percentages or indiviual?
2. Sounds dumb, but whats the sum for working out our percentage?
3. When will we know our colour and our partner?

Im sooo excited!! Doing a bit shop monday of healthy stuff. So tuesday weigh in is our starting weight yeah? Woop not long now guys, good luck xxx
 
I think it would be a great idea to post the results of each individual's % and then the team %. It would be great motivation :)
