There's a difference between handing out flyers, giving a few days notice and sitting around with a few mates and deciding "he let's ring john and see what he's doing"...John brings 3 people with him who tell 3 other people etc.
I agree with you Karky, it isn't entirely his fault but it's the media and they like to target and blame people. Who better to exploit than a naive 16 year old who loves the attention and will give you a story.
