I've been keeping track on FitDay also. So far, so good. It hasn't even been a whole week yet, but it helps me not cheat...and if I do, I enter it into the journal and can see how many calories I have left to play with.
sparkpeople still is going to rely on you weighing and measuring what you're eating before you enter it... there are hundreds of free tracking sites out there - and they all pretty much refer back to the USDA database --
Yes, i would agree that my scale counts calories for me. Unfortunately, that is only postmortum! I would prefer something predictive. I understand that I have to measure my food someway, but weighting food is such a pain. I found this really nice calorie counter for free at . I think this, combined with Spark People will do it for me.
the point is - though - i use spark people to keep track of my calories - the burden is still on me to make sure that what I am entering is accurate - and that does mean weighing and measuring everything I eat...
Spark does have an article that can give you estimates on what portion sizes look like but you still have to know what portion size you are entering...
