Anyone vote today?

All day long, every day, we go over the numbers. The economy is a big ticket item where I work. We are a fast growing county and we want to keep it that way. I didn't go into detail, otherwise my last post would have been turned into a huge essay. Like said above, unemployment is down lower than before 9/11, Average wages up, Dow hit all time record highs, and interest rates are doing good. It takes alot to go through something like 9/11 which wrecked the economy almost imidiatly and come out with a strong economy. This is not just a little rise. And things could have gotten ALOT worse than they did. To say that we had no where to go but up isn't right. Look at the depression. We were headed that way quickly and luckily, the .gov did alot to keep us out of it. Now, the people that helped make the economy strong again, are gone (some are gone).

Thats my opinion. Then again, you know what opinions are like.

The fact is that jobs and benefits have been so bad from 2000 to 2004 that they could only go up. So giving anyone some credit and saying "hey thanks for not being so ****ed up lately" is a little silly in my mind.

But don't you see? That's exactly what you're getting into.

Just who would you be addressing with this comment? Those in power. Who was in power? The Republicans, who "****ed up". I don't know the specifics of the facts, but so I will add this: The House, Senate, and Presidency all counter balance eachother. It didn't matter who had the majority in the House, because in the end, they all wanted power, and were willing to sacrifice trivial party standards to do so. This was seen when the Reps were acting like Dems and whatnot.

In the end, the only difference there could be with the Dems in majority of the House is Bush not getting away with as much ****, which is fine by me. I doubt that these elections are such a big deal in terms of the candidates...

Constitutional amendments, now there's an issue.
