does anyone here believe that the alien UFO spottings are real? anyone think that aliens have ever visited earth? i see so many videos on youtube about UFOs and all of them look fake...

plus, why would people be walking around in the middle of the day, carrying around a video camera? how often do you see that? are they filming clouds to begin with or do they just have the camera incase they see a UFO?

same thing with sasquatch. cant be real...

by the way, i wish aliens and sasquatch are real...its kind of like i just want to have the excitement of having magical/unreal creatures existing besides us...

too bad i really dont think they are real
 
i very much believe in aliens, or at least that another form of very intelligent life has visited the planet...whether we label that an alien or not is kinda besides the point, but yes, i do, very much so, to get around to the question
 
I really don't know or have any preference at this point.

I also think that certain cryptids exist, but again, I don't know fo sho.
 
I think other life almost certainly exists in the universe but I seriously doubt they've ever been here. I think it's safe to say that there is no other intelligent life within our solar system so if life existed on another planet it's safe to say it's a bloody long way away.

If you bear in mind that there are only a hand full of planets relatively close to ours (maybe 50 light years for example), even if there was life on one of those planets it would take an alien race 50 years of traveling at the speed of light to get here! And then what would they do? Take a look around, mess about in some crop fields and abduct a hillbilly?

Lets face it, until we find a way to bend space at will we aren't gonna get to see any little green men

Just to put it into context, think of this;

The Sun is 3,666,000,000 miles away from Pluto

The Sun is 5 1/2 light-hours away from Pluto

The Sun is 4.25 light years away from the nearest sun

1 light year = 5,880,000,000,000 miles

Or in another model that was described to me, if you wanted to make a 'to scale' model of the universe, if the sun was the size of a bowling ball, the nearest model star would be 4,000 miles away!

There almost is almost absolute certainty that life other than us exists.

Its crazy to imagine there could be thousands of places with intelligent life, that would be so amazing if we could actually see them its beyond words.

I gotta agree, even if some highly advanced race could bend space and time, the odds of them coming straight for us are nil. A tracking system like that would be, I imagine, more complex than the **** required to get them here.

That is, of course, unless they've already mapped a great deal of places throughout the place. And then at that point you have some who believe we are their seed...

Here, Think of it this way. We went from horses to space ships in under 200 years. Why did that generation advance so quickly when all previous did not?

I'm sure there could be aliens, dont know why they always have to be more more intelligent than us... Could be plants, animals, fish, people.

Cars that parrallel park themselves... There has to be aliens. And come on, George Lucas just made up star wars? Yea right.
 
Beacuse the universe is veryveryvery old ( even though we dont even know what "begining even means"), so they would have a much longer time to evolve, but yah im sure theres more non intelligent life than intelligent..
 
well, if Einstein was correct, its kinda hard to travel to travel here (unless they are in the solar system, and we just dont know about it) since even if traveling just below the speed of light, it would take a LONG time.
Though, if the whole thing about it not beeing possible to travel faster than the speed of light is true, then im open for all possibilities. :p

if they are so smart maybe they are using wormholes or crazy stuff like that to travel.. i'd be surprised if there's no other life in the universe besides us, but why would they come here? this place sucks....
 
If aliens did visit this planet, I would imagine that they would solved the secrets of this universe a long time ago (perhaps a way to travel great distances in a very short time, like a wormhole or something). Also, if they managed to contact us, I would imagine that an intelligent lifeform, such as one that can travel space, would do something far greater than just fly around and pick random people up and draw circles on the field.

Also, if you watch the ufo videos closely, you can see the design changes over time. For example, back in the 50s/60s, you see a round circular disc with a ball in the middle. Of course in this era, it was believed that space travel can be accomplished in on single device. Which later proved completely invalid and hard, so that's why the space crafts used in moon landings came in many pieces that break off during it's time up. Upon that time, the design changes slightly as time go on. In modern day ufo sightings, the designs are usual oval that either emits light without reflecting on the ground, or they're completed silver, like liquid metal look.

I could only imagine that these designs will change in the future to fit the current society views on aliens, which I believe proves that these stories are fabricated and unreal. Even the description of the aliens changes slightly, but they always have big heads, and big black eyes, and I think the reason why this remains turn is because no one can say otherwise that would be believable. You can say aliens looked like 10 ft tall liquid glob. No one would believe that since it doesn't fit our concept of intelligent lifeforms (that is humanoid figure, but unrecognizable characteristics)

maybe UFO's are just another "time" of humans who are far more advanced than us but from the same earth but they invented a time machine. then they spy on us from the UFO aka time machine to observe us for some reason and cant let anybody see them because if they do see them, it might alter the future. like the butterfly effect.

lol sounds crazy huh?

is there a past or future that people are living in???

I believe the time machine to be an impossible invention. For a TimeMachine to work it would mean that there is an infinite number alternate reality/timeliness that run along side without ever crossing. That would mean for each and every second a entirely different world on a different time line would exist.

I highly doubt this to be possible...Even if it was there would be no way to "dial" in what time you wanted. Sure you could input 1776(you know what happened that day) However, you must remember this is simply an arbitrary number. Not an actual physical presence. So with that in mind i do not see it possible for such a contraption to exist.

Then if a way was found to "Dial" in where (i should say when) you wanted to go. That would mean things would would repeat as history says. EXACTLY, however if this is the case it would mean freewill/choice does not exist. Because everything in the past would be predetermined...

Ditto. I think the only way we can travel huge distances is through holes in space. If we could figure out how to link them up, we could be going trilions of miles in a second.

Proteinboy, your theory about humans watching us from future, or another being who is living on this planet more intelligent than us got me thinking back to something I thought about a long time ago.

We humans, have only been intelligent for around 10000 years. Dinosaurs were around hundreds of times more than that number. So, theoretically, they could have evolved millions of years ahead of us, faked the meteor, planted the fossils, and left this planet, or even have created us. Theories on this kind of topic are endless.
