Any Believers in the HOUSE?

I am.... Nice to meet you chunky_soup !!!:)

Hey, nice thread! I was born and raised a christian!! Now I"m raising my 2 daughters in church too :)

God is my whole life...without Him I couldn't survive.

Are any of you guys active in your church?

I am in the youth choir (that without sounding prideful...we rock!) and just became a Sunday school teacher (I have so fell in love with it...4-6 year olds are the best!)

OH sure! I can't imagine how hard it would be to start being a christian if you weren't born that way. I dont' want to imagine my life w/o God...how deppressing!!

I'm not currently involved w/ activites at church. Heres the story....as a child and teenager I went to church 2, sometimes 3 times a week. Well, I worked at cedar point the summer I graduated school and got preg. I went to church once and realized that it was going to be pretty looked down upon, so I quit going. I returned a few yrs later when my daughter was 2 but couldn't get to go regularly as having been gone for so long it was hard to get back in the habit. This has carried on for years (although I always made sure my daughter went to church) SO finally, my 2nd baby is 2 now and I've decided its time!! This year I've already gone several times in a row and the baby is getting used to it slowly. I do plan on being a member of the church and being more involved once the baby is a little older....OH, and praise God, my husband (who never really goes to church) has started comming too!!!

Wow! That is so wonderful that you both are actively going. :)

Psst. a christian here too ! Although I admit, I have not been going faithfully. Partially the problem being (and no this isn't a good excuse) is that my FH is African American, and was raised Baptist. I'm caucausion, raised Presbyterian. I moved here over a year ago from Michigan to VA to start my life with him. We are still trying to find the "right church" for us. A predominantly African American church tend to look down upon him for marrying a woman who is outside of his race. And he feels uncomfortable in a predominantly white church for the same reasons in some aspects. So.. right now..we're still tryin to discover how we want to persue our religious beliefs together along with every-day activities as we unfortunately still run into the occassional person or two who look down upon us for being in an inter-racial relationship. But.. God brought us together for a reason.. and we'll remain together with his help! :)

I'm sure the rigth church is out there for you NL.

I got saved after my first DD was born. It is hard living 19 years years not saved and 5 years of really sinful behaviour. Truth is, I miss somethings I'd be better off not knowing. We just moved to NY so DH can go to bible college. he's a guba. (Grown Up Born Again) I'm lucky to have met a man that was raised in the church. He was back sliding when we met. The Sunday fight was him not going to church. Now he's in school to be a pastor!

Hi, there I am also a christian. got really excited to see this thread. I was saved when I was 18, (29now) met my husband through our youth group, and were friends for about a year or so before we even dated. Still good friends with all the people from that youth group, we all go to different churches now but remained a big part of each others lifes (our kids play together lol). We are kind of going to a church now but with the kids we dont make it as much as we once did. The last church we were out kind of burnt us out and we were quite hurt by them, so were we are now is a very large church, but we dont know many people there. It was more of a place to heal. But getting that feeling that I am ready to move on and find somewhere that I could be more active in. I know what you mean when you said how depressing life would be without God. comming from a non christain family I have seen both sides and know I could never go back to a life with out God.:)

My family isn't Christians. DH's whole family is. God is a huge part of our family life. We sit aroud and discuss, things, pray for each other, lay handa on each other...I wouldn't want it any other way. Last summer, SIL and her husband briught thier youth group up to MIL and FIL's. We sat around the fire sharing salvation stories and siniging Chistian songs. It was great!

My family is so misserable. I thin DH's family was God's gift to me:)

WOW...these stories are sooo awesome! God is just so graceful with us...I probably would have given up on some people a long time ago...but he loves us unconditionally.

Newbride God has definately called you home...that is so awesome. And kids will learn slowly to be in a church environment. And your husband too...wow

Newleaf finding a church if you leave a state is soo difficult...just don't give up...and don't let yourself fall into the routine of not going(gets too easy not to go at all) But God will open your eyes to a church!

zoila God always seems to call us deeper and deeper...if you are starting to feel to move on and get involved it has to be God's voice talking to ya!

Sara my church is the same way...laying hands on eachother is the way the apostles did it in the bible so we do the same. Those times of sharing are the most precious!

Well my story is born and raised in church and in a christian home. When I was about 15 I stopped going to church and was lost and miserable. When I graduated from high school I went back and would not change it for nothing. If you guys ever need prayer make sure to ask me...I will definately do it!

Chunky..I just noticed your sig...Phil. 4:13 is my very favorite scripture! Nothing makes me feel more powerful, more ready to face the world!

Growing up, we went to church on Sundays, but I have to admit I haven't been in quite a while.

I absolutely believe in God. My father passed away 2 years ago, which brought me much closer to God. Through prayer, I can still reach my father everyday.

I'm Christian and I'm a religious ed. teacher's assistant for 5th grade. Yikes they're a handful! They really come up with some awesome stuff, though. I'm also thinking about becoming a sponsor for someone coming into the Church...the lady in charge of the program will be getting back with me shortly to tell me if I'm needed or not. I also go to the church every wenesday to spend some time with our Lord in adoration right after religious ed. I'm thinking about going more, though...I really value that time, even if it is only an hour a week.

It's good to see other christians here!

Oh yea! Let me tell you a story....

My husband and his mom were discussing politics one day. Things started to get heated. Well, finally my husband says "i'm going to put my vote on ebay. I'll vote whichever way the winning buyer wants me to. I'll just take the governments lead" Suddenly, out of the blue my daughter turns around and says "OH YEA?? WELL i"M GONNA TAKE GODS LEAD!"

We were floored. My mother in law said "faith, i think your smarter than the 3 of us put together"
