Alexxa's Weight Struggle Diary - 2021

78 g of protein is excellent! I've come to terms with having to get up to pee once every night; for me it's either that or waking up wretchedly dehydrated. My go to snack when I'm hungry but don't want anything heavy is one Babybell cheese, two (pop)corn cakes, sriracha, and some lettuce.

I have protein at every meal too & it makes a big difference with my appetite. 78g of protein is good. I also get up every night at least once, but I do have at least a couple of herbal teas during the evening.

I will keep that in mind, I really need some ideas for that moment.

Do you drink them to help you with your hunger or for other reasons? Protein really helps me be fuller at meals, so that's something I will definitely use in my diet. I guess I'll have to come to terms with waking up at night as well if i want to fight my urge to eat at night.

Yesterday, my BF was free from work ( we were supposed to get the vaccine, but we were delayed 17 days due to the shortage of vaccines right now) and we kinda overdid it with this day off, spoiling ourselves with something good to eat and something good to drink ( i had some pina colada, delicious but pretty full of calories) and i overpassed my calories by 600. Drinks always add up a lot of calories, and not necessary by themselves but they always need the company of not-so-healthy food. Today, I'll do better.

At least i did my 30 minutes of walking. 83 grams of protein, too. Kinda dizzy today, I'll have to drink more water to recover.

600 kcal over your planned limit or 600 over maintenance? Piña coladas must be some of the most calorie-heavy cocktails available :D I´m happy I´m not a big fan of cocktails: they´re always either way too sweet or too dehydrating for me. A spontaneous weekday off with your boyfriend sounds lovely, calories be damned!

It's 600 calories over my planned limit of 1400 calories. They are indeed very caloric but the taste somehow worth it. If I didn't feel dizzy today, it would have totally worth it!

Having stuff you really enjoy even though you know the calories is important. And 600 over your planned deficit isn't bad for a treat day, that's probably around maintenance.

The last 2 days were good. At least 30 minute of walking, below 1400 calories. I was busy and that was good. I went to my hometown to get my certificate for an exam I took 2 years ago. I forgot how nice people are in smaller towns. Living in the capital, it was a little difficult adjusting here in my first years, people are way more egocentric and they don't care much about others.

I love the anonimity of the city but it's also nice to have the small pocket of my neighborhood, where people at least know my face and smile or nod when they see me. Balance, I guess. Well done sticking to your plans so well despite not being at home!

The last couple of days sound good :)
Weekends always spoils my diet. But it's a new week...let's hope I can do better.

My circumstances brought me to this bigger city and, even though I didn't like it at first, it would be hard for me to come back. I like routines and it's hard for me to make big changes. I should use that in my diet and make some routines, now that I think about it. But it is lovely to always have someone to talk to, like in the smaller cities. People are way friendlier and less in a hurry.

I hated that about growing up in a village: always being expected to stop and talk to people I wasn´t actually interested in :blush5:
Healthy routines definitely make staying on track easier!
