abs/ how to get fat off stomach

hey im new to this site and im a pretty fit guy but i am wondering if anyone could help me get rid the fat on my stomach.

what is the quickest and most effective way to do this

you cant spot-reduce fat, sorry mate :(
 
So what you mean by not being able to spot reduce fat is that you cant just aim for losing fat on one part of your body and you can only say if you have fat on your stomach do what it takes to lose fat the normal way any way by say doing cardio and there for burning of muscle on other parts of the body :confused: i have no fat :rolleyes: just wondering :)
 
if you havent got it somewhere, it can't be burned from it.

you cannot control from where you remove fat, it comes away how it wants to. the placest you first put the fat on will generally be the places it comes from last, you have to keep plugging away at it, revealing muscle from all over the body until you hopefully get to a point where you've reached your goal.
 
Deficit dieting is the fat burner, and EVERYTHING follows after this. The deficit can be implemented through the diet or exercise can cause the deficit when you know your MT line reference. Without a adequate deficit, cardio WILL NOT burn fat off you. This is WHY I dont partake in the cardio debates of heart rate, etc........because the bottom line is the deficit diet....period, debate OVER. If you stick to the basic: The Law of energy balance, and tip this to the negative side of the equation, you will be on your way, with everything considered equal and your healthy.

Losing fat is sort of like draining a pool. It usually leaves the shallow end first before the larger end starts to diminish. But, fat and/or tissue is lost all over when deficit dieting.

If you want to lose overall body fat, get your diet in order, eat clean, learn what your approximate MT reference line is according to activities (and back off a HEALTHY margin), and perform overall weight training, and of course, include cardio (cardio DOES have its benefits other than burning calories, carbs, fat, ect).

The most effective begining is to look at your diet, and make a diet journal in my opinion, THEN work in a training program around this diet.

what chillen said DIET is the key all else follows.
At 15 i wouldnt worry too much about a little fat youre still growing but it wouldnt do any arm to read up and educate yourself on diet and exercise or lifting you will have a headstart.

ps it would help if u posted up your current diet and u say that your a pretty fit guy do u have a workout?? if so post that as well.

not all cardio and or exercise is intended to lose weight. Much activity is designed and intended for performance enhancement and improvement. This is where heart rate and such comes into play. ie:I have been taking a very serious interest in completing an "iron-man" and appearance does not seem to be their strong suit. hehehe

You and I have me ruinning a diet deficit for sure. My appearance is improving, and now I have added weight training. You said without a deficit cardio will not burn fat. What does it burn? and with a caloric deficit what does the body burn in lifting?

I will have to look into this, this is contrary to what we've heard for years but sounds logical...........................

Cardio burns calories, and can if optimum, burn fat. However, if your in a surplus on the caloric side, it can and it will erase the fat and calories burned in cardio (if the intensity of the cardio was adequate including heart rate)---this is the point I am making.

Now on the flip side, if your at your MT line or in deficit already, one can use cardio to lose fat tissue further (or use it to burn calories more) (and muscle possibly), but in the END OF the day.........diet is is king and the laws of caloric balance.

This is true in its most basic format. Does this make sense: You need 2200c, but you eat 3300c, and you do cardio, say 250c burned. Your still in surplus........your gonna gain wgt.........over time with this simplistic example,,,,some will be fat (with everything considered equal)..............Make sense? Most in general and on average just need simplicity, why argue about the heart rate (can be saved for more advanced persons), when we can apply these basics to get people started, and my example and information here is correct and on the the dime. This is the simplicity in the fat loss outlook, now if one wants the benefits of upper respititory (sp) benefits, it can happen on either side of the equation on a porgressive scale program---when fat loss or gain isnt in question or of interest.
 
straight up cardio

Actually, cardio does a lot less for fat lass than weight lifting. In my experience anyway. Fat loss is most effective when combined with weight lifting.

I lost 30 pounds by lifting and a little bit of cardio, along with, of course, a deficit diet. The intensity of my cardio was a half mile slow paced warmup run for track every weekday. Not much huh? Well over the course of, 3 months, I lost 20 pounds. (I had lost the other 10 before in the last 3 months wwhen I was only doing cardio (1-2 miles) because I broke my thumb)
