Abear??? I thought that dude was dead journal

Two summers ago I had a 40" waist. Last summer I got it down to 35 inches. This summer I set a goal of 31.5 by September 12th. Right now I am 32.25 and I have four weeks to go.

Monday morning

Tuesday morning

Bike tabatas (20-10 8X)

Wednesday evening

Sandbag 65lbs Zercher carries and overhead carries 50ft 3x
Sledgehammer 3x5 each side

Yep, got my issues taken care of and now I'm back into it. I've lost about 40lbs and almost 8 inches of my waist. I could only do 1 chin and about 2-3 dips awhile back so I'm making progress.

Thanks for the acknowledgements!!

Thursday afternoon

Overhead press 45x5 55x5 65x3 55 3x12
Bent over rows 45x5 65x5 85x3 65 3x12
Front squats 45x5 65x5 85x3 85 3x8
Planks 1x60 secs

This was something I've never done before. Light weight, high reps, exploding the weight up as fast as possible, one minute rest in between all sets. Got the idea from Cosgrove and just came up with this to do. Hadn't done front squats in months, want to get serious with these again and need to start somewhere.

Doing the same thing with moderate weight (moderate reps) is an amazing way to shoot your strength up. It's gotten me though plateau time and time again.

Nice!! I was reading back through my old journals on here and it's amazing how far I've fallen. But I know I just have to take it one day, one rep, one pound, one inch, etc, etc, etc at a time.

Measured in this morning at 32", so one week lost a quarter of an inch. Very satisfied! So far, so good.

Trying to get ideas on where to go after I finish this. Right now eyeing something like Waterbury's 25 Method, something simple to execute. Then maybe going from that to a beginner 5x5 because that did so well for me years ago.
