Okay here's the story I weighed in the day I started diet on a empty stomach in full clothing right before work 205.5 Yesterday weighed in at 199.2 same work clothes on with full stomach and 2 h2o bottles. Is that plausable/healthy?I used to cut weight for wrestling but not in a matter of eating more and healthy. Just really confused and don't want to get false hopes up.

Your scales might be stuffed? I highly doubt you lost 6lbs of fat, that would mean you would have had to have a 6 day defecit of 21,000 calories which seems a bit too much.

Can you see a difference in how your clothes fit? Thats a good indication rather than the scales.

You've lost water weight and glycogen... if you were in a caloric deficit (even a slight one that the body isn't used to), than it used what energy it had ready in the cells (namely the glycogen). Also, generally speaking when you eat healthy it leads to less sodium and increased water intake, which actually leads to reduced water retention. The first week always get amazing results... just like 25 lb weight losses on the Biggest Loser.

so....

There shouldn't be anything wrlong with the the scale it was very consistent before the diet. does that mean the weight is coming right back? I can tell in my face I lost some weight. And how do I know when its true loss besides visually I wear lose clothes.

okay so confused

So the 6lbs was water weight. Here is what I'm doing to lose weight I take hydroxycut hardcore. All I drink is tons water and eas carb control shakes. My meals are low carb and packed with fruits and veggies but not huge meals I eat low fat low carb energy bars in between meals. I work construction for about 12 hours a day and try to squeeze in a few hundred pushups and situps. I started at 205. And if anyone doesnt think construction isnt exercise I stayed at 205 for a few years eating combos and some dollar menu things at least 2 times a day. I don't know if this diet will work but any advice tips or critics are welcome

What about protein?

And what are you hoping to accomplish with all the pushups and situps aside from imbalances?

And to add... you aren't doing LOW carb if your meals are PACKED with veggies and fruits.

Not that LOW carb is a great option either.

The bars have like 30 grams of protien lots of chicken the shakes also have like 30 grams of protien I eat turkey. I think I'm getting enough protien. And what do mean by imbalances? Like no legs or other exercises. I lift a lot of weight constantly at work? I never thought push ups and sit ups would hurt. I work in differnrt cities and restricted to hotels 75% of time I plan on doing full body when I'm at home at 24 but I thought it would be good to do while I don't have accsess to gym.

ha Thats true see theres a reason I'm on this site. Well not low carb but healthy. I cut out lots of bread and I'm more aware of cards intake. I usally eat a cup of fruit and veggies Is that to much. I guess it just feels packed because Its not what I'm used to

Constantly working your chest and shoulders without working your back = imbalances

And why all that high rep stuff anyhow? What are you hoping to accomplish with that?

Not to sure why cause I can I suppose LOL I know its hard as hell to squeeze out the last 50 situps when you have already done a couple hundred LOL I just want to lose weight with limited tools I think makes it even more of a confusion for me if I had accsess to a gym I would lift bis and tris chest and back and so on. I know I'll never be dancing in front of a tape in a hotel room. (not that it doesnt work) just not my style. Its been a struggle finding some legit things to do

As long as you understand that high rep stuff isn't toning your body is all I care about.

It's building endurance.

check out

there's a lot more that you can be doing.

Thanks for the site that will help a lot. One last question what is the best toning weight to rep ratio then and how do you draw the line between endurance and toning

Toning isn't a verb in my book.

I use it as an adjective to describe the visual effect that accompanies fat loss coupled with muscle maintenance.

It is very difficult to lose more than 2lbs of fat in one week. To achieve 2lbs weight loss a week means burning off 1000 calories a day, which is quite a challenge! Read this to find out more.

There is no benefit in losing water weight. It is only fat loss that has a significant effect on bodyshape, so you need to find a diet that is realistic and sustainable!

This is really the simple version of what goes on inside the body. Biological processes can be much more complex than this and the numbers game isn't so easy in practice... this can only take you so far.

Okay what is wrong with the diet I'm burning more than I take in I believe . So I need to redo the whole diet too? That doesnt make sense to me so its not south beach or atkins but its healthy.

Other than you have no way to make sure how many calories you are getting in... there is nothing "wrong". Which is a big thing by the way. You aren't measuring so you don't know what correct portions are. Do you even know how many calories you should be in a deficit by? Have you calculated your BMR? Have you read any of the stickies in the forums? After reading those, rather than asking blanket questions about your own personal diet, you should have a better idea of what you should or shouldn't be doing.

All of your questions have been asked before... Search is your friend, but Stickies are your lover.

Yes, it is a simple explanation of what goes on inside the body, but it is absolute clockwork. As a personal trainer and weight loss coach with 10 years experience I've been analysing my clients weight and metabolic rate over months and even years and the numbers always corroborate how much is being eaten and how much is being burned.

Publish than. Other than that... your numbers mean nothing to me.

No it is not absolute clockwork. Don't spout poor information to people who play number games and don't get those same results. Is it ballpark and close? Sure, if you work with significant digits, than no. False hope sir.

I am sorry, I don't want to come off as rude either, but I am more specifically pointing out things like leptin and what that can do to the metabolism. It isn't as exact as you make it out to be and people dieting can't just keep loosing weight at a constant rate like you suggest (because you are suggesting it without clarification).

Things like stress and lack of adequate sleep affect leptin levels (not just calories in vs. calories out) and thus can cause deficiencies in metabolic rates.

Darth, what authority do you have to advise people on this forum? I've seen a number of your posts and they are nothing more than insulting. People come on this forum for sound weight loss advice and support, and that's what I'm giving people. You're just here to pick fights.

here's my authority to advise - - a handful of the 300 clients I've helped lose weight.

where's yours?

Great... your website, that you made, spouting how GREAT you are. That isn't advertising if I ever saw it. And you can't put CASE STUDY next to someone's testimonial. That doesn't make it scientific sir.

I am here to educate myself and to prevent mis education of others. Which you have done in this thread... you're taking it too personal.

Show me where I've given POOR information. You're avoiding the fact that your information is incorrect and trying to disprove me. All I said was, your equation is too simple and doesn't deal with other biochemical processes of the body... MAJOR biochemical processes, not just little arbitrary things either.
