4 yr old McDonalds food

Wow. Just wow. Haven't had a McDonalds burger in 7 months. Wonder how much of that one is still in me??

I'd like to see how chicken nuggets would do aswell tbh..

Crazy stuff though, I had no desire to eat at mcdonalds, and I still don't, my kids won't be eating there when I have some..

None; your digestive acids can break down heavy metals so I can't see how a stale bun and burger would be able to last longer than a day.

Yeah, McD's add too many preservatives and crap to their food, but anyone who didn't know that already is an idiot. This woman is just scare mongering to sell a few more books so she can buy more Big Macs.

That women is large enough to have her own gravitational pull, she shouldn't be telling other people what they shouldn't be putting into their mouths.

Oh wait, her book was recommended by Oprah's diet doctor, in that case it must be good :yelrotflmao:
If Oprah took her diet advice from me I wouldn't want to go bragging about it

So you're saying giving people an additional reason (preservatives, chemicals) to not eat McDonalds is scare mongering?

What about her other videos like the one with the soda?

There was a news artical on t.v. here about a 15 year old cheeseburger. It looked very similar to the day it was bought.

What arguement did she put forward that eating the burger would be harmful?
What exactly are the dangers in eating the preservatives in that burger she's showing you?
What lab tests has she done on the burger to test for anything unhealthy?
If the burger is digested in a day anyway, then what does it matter if it doesn't age naturally if left uneaten?

Just sticking a burger and fries up and saying 'this isn't natural' means nothing, we need evidence. Pamela Anderson isn't natural but I want a piece of her and I'm sure she isn't harmful.

It's simply a video showing how many preservatives are in that type of food. We never ate preservatives when we were cave men. We probably didn't eat them until sometime last century (aside from salt as a preservative). It's more of a "why do we need to put these things in our bodies?" type of statement.

You shouldn't eat that crap anyways...we all know this.

As for Pam Anderson...she's nice to look at, but I wouldn't **** her with a cattle prod.

Why do people associate cave men with healthy eating? I've always wondered this, I don't think there's any evidence of cave men living long, healthy lives.

I think a lot of these self-appointed health experts need to be made to say why they think natural = healthy. I'm sure that there's a thousand reasons that McDonalds food isn't healthy but some woman holding up a book and saying food with preservatives in is bad because it's unnatural just doesn't cut it.

The milk we drink has been processed, should we all start drinking it straight out of the cow and watch the Salmonella outbreak that results from it?

I never said they lived long healthy lives. But you can't say that their diet was to blame for their short lives. There was no modern medicine, no surgical techniques, no preventative practices to prolong life and guarantee good health.

I'm also not saying that preservatives don't have their place. You used milk as an example and I'm going to spin it. Ok so we treat it as we need to so that people don't get sick, but milk still goes bad after a length of time which you can see, smell and certainly taste. That burger didn't look all that bad aside form being dehydrated and apparently didn't smell bad either. Same for the fries.

So why is that bad? That's all I'm asking.

That phoney flogging the book didn't say; she just patronised the viewers with the typical 'this is bad, mmkay!' which so many fake nutritional experts will force down your throat all the time; but she didn't say why.

Is something that doesn't grow mould inherently harmful to you? If so then why? I think anyone making a claim needs to be able to substantiate what they're saying with evidence and facts.

The burger had gone off, that was clear to see, but it hadn’t grown mould and was biodegrading slowly. Instinct tells us that this is bad, but instinct can be wrong, I would far rather someone came on TV and said how that is possible rather than ‘this isn’t natural’ which is about as informative as being told that bears **** in the woods

You ask why is it bad and I ask how can it be good? Same difference. Neither side can provide drastic evidence for their arguments but common sense (remember common sense? it died off long ago and is slowly making a comeback) says that the extra chemicals, additives, hormones in our foods today are bad.

That's all I'm saying.
