I did 10 today:party:, they were wall, but at least I did them and that's an accomplishment. I will try to do modified ground tomorrow, hopefully I will be able to do 10:svengo:. (did I mention I can feel it and I only did 10 wall??)

Well done!! Doesn't matter if they are wall ones or modified ones - main thing is you are stretching yourself to do something you find challenging and it will get easier and you'll move onwards and upwards!

I played a fun game at work today - did 5 wall push ups in the toilet cubicle every time I went to the bathroom... Hehe they soon all stack up! Going to make it 10 tomorrow...
 
Late and slow start, but what the heck.

I did a whopping 5 pushups yesterday with difficulty. That WILL change!

Great idea, I'm going to try that. Let's hope that no one comes into the bathroom during these or they may be wondering what's going on with me.

Will try to do 15 tomorrow, although today was sort of difficult as I was doing modified off a bench, but #5 my arms started shaking, but #9 I was ready to quit, but I pushed off once more and got 10.

I didn't know your upper back by your shoulders were involved in pushups:confused:
 
Your back and posterior (rear) Delts are used in the ecentric portion of the pushup, if they were not then you would fall on your face. Pecs triceps and anterior delts are used to push yourself back up.

hand position also changes them emphasis of the muscles used. Wide hands = more chest, close hands = more tricep.
 
I've been slacking off way too much lately. Today, I'm starting to put pushups into my daily regimen. I do as many as I can in the morning, and do them as well as I can.
I'm at 15 total now, so I have a lot of catching up to do if I want to reach the goal for this year.

Found out that if I break it apart and do some in the morning and some in the evening I get more out, so here is to doing at least 20 tomorrow morning and 20 tomorrow evening, I will get up to 50 a day hopefully by Monday, then I will try a different variation of the push-up.
 
yep that is the way to do it, mine are done throughout the day when I have a few minutes.
