2 Weeks Left Need Advice

Me and my friend both heavyset and pretty competitive with each other, and decided to have a competition who can lose the most weight by new years (started 6 weeks ago), I'm down about 37 pounds, from 271 to 234 but it seems now that I'm starting to build muscle and my weight is plateauing this is the final 2 weeks, is there any way I can keep losing weight while cutting back on the muscle gain? Apparently he's not far behind me so it's neck and neck and I can have muscle gains losing the comp for me.

Winner gets 250$ and gets to make the other guy do a humiliation.

In the final days I have a lot of ways to cut weight for a weigh-in that I'll try off of some MMA website, but for these last 2 weeks before that I need to know the best path to take.

Thanks for any help.

competition is good for encouraging a person to really work hard and make a goal but I believe you are taking it too extreme. you have lost a lot of weight for such a short period of time so no matter whoe wins no one should make fun of the other as it seems you have both done well.
Think healthy. Don't try drastic weight loss techniques, the results will not be permanent, so what's the point.

All I've done so far is exercise and eat healthy, doesn't seem too extreme, and everybody says I look a lot better and I really feel healthier so no matter who wins it's good for both of us. And I don't plan on stopping once the competition ends it's actually been kinda fun living healthy for once (being at 271 was a result of just eating ridiculously fatty foods and playing video games for years) this last 6 weeks I've had more energy and been able sleep right it's good all around believe me.

I was just wondering if there's any exercises that will burn calories that aren't such muscle builders cause pushups and situps etc seem to be doing that. I really know nothing about exercise techniques.

Most cardio, like the elliptical set to a higher resistance level will give a big calorie burn -
