That's right...after some pushing and proding by a couple fellow throwers, 3 of us are going to enter this (we're all different weight classes). And then turn around and throw at Tusa on Sunday.

This'll be my first Strongman competition. The only event taht really makes me nervous is the truck pull as I've never tried to pull anything that heavy and so technique is lacking.

Wow, how cool, this is the kind of stuff I'd love to do one day.

Do you have any plans on how you're gonna practice for things like the truck pull?
 
Have fun dude. It is a pretty good contest for your first one as well.

Have fun being fit to throw on Sunday.

I recommend bringing a cooler full of ensure and pedialite. You will need it throughout the day and it is easy to drink.

It is so weird that I did strongman and am now getting into throwing, and you are the other way around.

That's awesome.. Like FF I was wondering the weight class. And did you decide if you're coming to FL?
 
You'll probably struggle (i assume you don't have alot of exerience deadlifting cars or carrying them on your shoulders etc.) but good luck anyways. Let us know how it turns out.

Yeah, that's the plan. It'll be sometime next year. I'm not quite sure what month...I'm going to pick something close to your whereabouts.
