10x3 AMAZING!!!!!

I just tried 10x3 today and i thought it was pretty good. This is only for compound exercises right? I shouldn't be doing it for isolation excersises like curls or tricep pulldowns, right?

Compound, after doing 10x3 on the bench there's no need to hit the triceps with the same amount of volume. They are already stimulated.

I train chest with biceps and back with triceps anyway, so that's why i was wondering.

You want to keep the volume managable so 4x6, 5x6, 5x5, 6x5 etc are good rep schemes. Personally i don't do alot of isolation work. Doing heavy rows, chinups and bench presses will build impressive arms.

I like my most recent routine i started, because i have one direct day for biceps and triceps, and one indirect.

Yeah i use to do a direct arm workout but since i got into heavy compounds i actually hate doing sissy ass isolation execercises but they don't hurt, however the big lifts should still be a priority.

I started fullbody workouts a few months ago for the first time ever and i love it.

One thing about compound lifts you lift MUCH more weight.

For instance i can BB curl 100 for 5x5 but i can deadlift 330 for 8x3. Huge difference on the arms and whole body development.

Yeah, only reason i do isolation is cuz compound lifts don't really give me the feeling that i actually worked my arms. I like to work my arms really hard on their direct days, then wait 2 or 3 days for their indirect work.

I don't get so much of a pump as i use too but feeling pumped is not an indicator of progress. Size and weight is.

Just something to think about.
