I weigh around 75-80 kg now and I don't think i'm over weight. I've belly fat and its by far where its all hidden. I often tense my tummy in to avoid being seen as pudgy and it definitely works. I'm slowly gaining more weight and is not helping my situation at all. I fear soon or later the time will come when I can't hide the fat or may even be far worse than that.

I drink plenty of water and eat a decent amount of vege and fruits. I'm starting yoga and walking again but I feel a real change is needed. I eat lots of food and it all adds up in the end. I have extreme sugar cravings at night and that is most likely the cause.

I would be happy to get some good advice for motivation purposes. I'm far too lazy to be consistent with the way i am right now.

Unfortunately, consistency is a big factor in getting your weight under control, while there are several different approaches to weight loss that all work, the one thing they have in common in being consistent.

The first step is to take a look at your portion sizes, you say you eat a lot ? how much is a "lot" and how does that compare to what your body actually needs ?

Grapey, I believe in weight loss. Trust me it's not easy to let go of the things we like to eat or the things we think we need to eat but the truth is if you cut on sugar, white flour and lactose for a couple of weeks you'll see the difference. I didn't consider myself to be overweight but I had to lose weight due to health poblems and when I cut the sugar, white flour and lactose for some weeks, I could definitely see the difference.

You might think it's very difficult to do it on your own but you're not the only one feeling this way :) This blog post helped me a lot!! Hope it helps you too! Link Removed

hi Grapey... when i compare my diet to yours, the two things i changed a few months ago are your two worst habits, eating sugar and eating late at night. i always considered that people saying it's bad to eat just before you go to bed was baloney... the figurative kind. then i started to look into how fat really burns. you can read about ketones, etc, but the bottom line is that i believe your stomach needs a break from food for at least 12-14 hours a day, when a bunch of healthy things start to happen. look into what is called intermittent fasting. i eat within a 4-6 hour window every day and fast from 18-20 hours (8/16 seems to be the more common version) ... and it's working for me.

i also severely cut my sugar intake. i try to keep it to less than 6-8 gm/ day. this definitely means cutting out a lot of stuff you probably love and will be the hardest part, but watch some videos about the evils of sugar (all over YouTube) and i hope it will get you to at least a healthier level.

good luck with whatever works for you.
cheers...gary

hey there grapey thanks s much for sharing your situation with us, its very inspiring. I know for myself a few years ago i was in the same place, but i did have a little help there in the beginning, and you are correct in you observation about the night time sugar cravings wipe out those and set a reasonable time in the evening where you wont consume anymore carbs for the night only water or tea with lemon, checkout this spot and let me know what you think its what helped me in the beginning to get things moving along link removed

I'd say the smoother way to going about this recurring weight problem is through the best way most folks continue overlooking, and that is walking for at least 30-60 minutes 3-5 days a week. Combine this with a salad and low calorie type of diet maybe fish or something of the sort can tremendously help speed things up. I believe people can become the rulers of their health and fitness if they can dedicate their lives to great healthy future without excuses.

I'm not the kind who likes to do workout, the only way is to have change in my diet by cutting down sugar and I do agree on not eating late at night. My hubby gets hungry every night just before we go to bed. And most of the time I would get tempted to join him in supper :( I know it doesn't help me at all if I want to slim down. I've been eating salad for the past 1 week plus and I feel like giving up already. Does anyone has a better diet plan than salad? I came across this post that talks about 2 week diet plan. I wonder if anyone tried it before and if it really works? Spam Link Removed

This is a Scam Diet, written by the same person who has written many of the scam diets (It is not written by the listed Author)

https://weight-loss.fitness.com/threads/fat-decimator-diet-or-scam.99243/ This scam diet is another of the diet books written by this well known scammer.

They are bad diets targeted at the desperate by those desperate to make quick and easy money on the internet, when the only person who benefits from them is the billionaire internet scammer.

I am closing this thread because it is attracting a lot of spam, and the original poster has not been on the forum since their original post.
