Not even going to pretend I ate well yesterday with the Superbowl! It was fun though at least...

Today's Diet...
9:00- whole wheat wasa bread with 1 tbl reduced fat PB
12:30-grilled chicken salad with 2 tbls vingarette dressing
- 1/2 cup grapes
-1 slice cantalope
4:00- 1/2 cup LFCC
7:00- Protein Shake
8:00- whole wheat noodles with lean ground beef

Was not prepared with food today... wasn't able to grocery shop until tonight...

Workout...
Dumbbell Chest Press- 30x15, 35x15, 40x10
dumbbell chest flys- 20x12, 25x12x10
shoulder press with dumbbells- 25x12, 30x8, 25x10
skull crushers- 30x12, 40x10x8
rope pulldowns- 20x12, 25x12x12

2 Miles on the treadmill in 20 min!

Going to be adding way more cardio to my workouts... I have to start doing more on days that I do weights, I think that is a big reason why the scale isn't moving!

12:30- baby spinich with 2 slices of turkey, 1/8 of walnuts and dried cranberries, 2 tbls poppyseed dressing, apple, whole wheat pita
4:00- broccoli with 2 tbl hummus
7:00- whole wheat pasta with chicken sausage and sauce

Workout...
3 miles in 30 min
10 min 10 % 3.5mph
 
I've been keeping my promise with adding more cardio! Today was a good day for it...

widegrip pulldowns- 70x15, 80x12, 90x10
Rows- 60x15, 70x12, 80x12
Deadlifts- 85x12, 95x12, 105x8 ( might go down in weight next week... want to make my form a little better)
Hammer biceps( not sure if that's what their really called!)
15x12, 20x12, 25x5x5

30 min on the elliptical

Diet...

8:00- 3 whites, 1 yolk, peppers onions and tomatoes
10:30- 10 baby carrots with 2 tbls hummus
12:30- baby spinch with 3 slices turkey,dried cranberries and walnuts 2 tbls poppyseed dressing
- whole wheat pita
-1/2 cup blackberries
4:00- apple
6:30- protein shake
8:00- ground turkey burger mixed with low fat cheese and mustard with a salad with low fat blue cheese dressing...

7:00-small salad with creamy garlic dressing
- small dish of pasta with red sauce
-salmon with spinich and rice
went out to dinner with my parents tonight... could have done better, but also could have done worse!:p

Workout...
Cardio
1 hour of body combat, kind of like kickboxing...

I'm feeling alot better about things, feeling like i'm starting to actually see some more differences!:)
 
Hi babe, since you are kicking butt in your exercise, I just wanna drop a thought about calorie intake. I don't know how much you are taking in now in average, but what Stingo mentioned about your intake might not be enough, I know a couple other people who experienced the same thing. Sometimes it takes more food to drop the fat ;)

Well that would be fine by me! More food is always a good thing in my book:D
I have added some more snacks... and i've added nuts, which has alot more fat then a used to eat! Hopefully I will see a difference! Thanks for the help!

OHHH! haha... I'm sorry Stingo... I've really been trying to eat more! This week was tough because of lack of money... and again imagination, and getting stuck in a food rut! I am going to add even more next week, I promise!!:)

No worries - just teasing ya. I do think you could stand to add a few calories to your diet. And if you're having trouble finding ideas about what to make, try a site like recipezaar for inspiration.

not even going to post.... but i'm not mad at myself... haven't eat "normal" in awhile, I have to do it once in awhile, otherwise i'll end up bindging! haha...

Did legs on friday though...

smith machine lundges- 25pound plates 3x10
leg press- 150x30x30 (10 halfway from the top, 10 halfway from the bottom and 10 full. My friend who is a trainer at the gym gave that for me to do..it killed!!!!!:eek:

stading calves- 150x12x12x12

Saturday...
Diet

3:00- 1 cup whole wheat pasta with sauce...
Going for sushi tonight!!! can't wait, I LOVE sushi:D

Ran 7 miles at 6.0 in 71 min! I think that run allows me to eat as much sushi as I want tonight!:D
 
Dang Tor you're doing great! I also just re read your entire journal so far and your weight lifting is strong! The weight your lifting is substantial! Maybe with all your great running you should look to do a race as a future goal? :D

Thank you so much sparrow!:D I just ran the 5 mile Turkey Trot in my area on Thanksgiving which was a huge accomplishment! I am definitely debating doing a half marathon this summer...not sure if I can do it, but it would be a great goal to set! My other big goal is to be able to do a pull up! That is WAY harder than I thought it would be! :D
 
Had a pretty good weekend for food... not great but not too bad either... had sushi and hibachi on Sat night:D So good!

12:30- 1 cup whole wheat pasta with 1/2 cup sauce, 2 oz lean ground beef
- salad with 1 tbl o & v
- 1/2 cup LFCC
2:30- whole wheat pita with 1 tbl hummus
4:30- orange
7:00- protein shake
8:00- 6 oz baked chicken, acorn squash, brown rice

added another snack today! Got up to about 1460 calories... Think that's a little more than I've been having... hopefully Stingo will approve:p haha

Chest Press Machine- 70x12, 75x12x10
Shoulder press machine- 75x15x10x10
Assisted Dips- -90x12, -85x12, -75x12
Outside rope pulldowns- 30x12, 35x8, 30x12

Well I had decided on Wednesday to take the rest of the week off from diet and exercise... I thought maybe if I just fed my body more it would shock it come monday, not sure if that will work, but I think it is something my body needed! I still went to the gym on saturday did legs and ran some... but just because I was bored.... plus I love going to the gym on saturdays, not as busy!

I also got some really good news... I found out a year ago that I have really high cholesterol! I got it recheck 6 months ago and it didn't go down at all... I just got it rechecked and got the results on Friday... it went down 30 points!!! I work for my doctor, which is helpful but she said that if it didn't go down this time I was going straight onto meds! So with it going down... no meds! I'm so happy about that! It also gave me a much needed second wind to dieting and working out... I was really getting frustrated as everyone knows, and was ready to give up. At least if i'm not seeing the results on the scale or with inches, I know it is making me healthier... I needed to see SOME kind of results!!! So back at it with a new attitude tomorrow...
 
Just got caught up and read all of your posts. You are doing awesome. Ditto what others have said about the food. It really makes a difference. When I listened I lost weight lol. As for the cholesterol that is a huge accomplishments, congratulations. It should come down even more if you keep this up ;-) how is the HDL/LDL ratio?
 
Thanks guys! I am so happy about the no meds... I'm not sure what my ratio is... I have to ask my doctor again... she just showed me my labs really quick, then she took them back to add on checking my thyroid... so I'll let you know.
