This is a great exercise for the shoulder girdle, especially the serratus anterior.
Instructions
- Lie down on a mat with your knees bent and your arms reaching toward the ceiling.
- Exhale and slide the right arm toward the ceiling so that your right shoulder blade lifts slightly off the floor. Inhale and return to the start position.
- Exhale and slide the left arm toward the ceiling so that your left shoulder blade lifts slightly off the floor. Inhale and return to the start position. Repeat 4-6 times on each arm, rest, then repeat the exercise if desired.
