This tasty recipe can be served as a great side dish to any meal. Asparagus is much more flavorful with an additional sauce, and this one makes it worth trying. It is also low in calories and fat!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp toasted pecans
- 11/2lb asparagus
- Orange Sauce
- 3 Tbsp hoisin sauce
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp ginger
- 11/2 tsp cornstarch
Instruction
- In a medium sized pot, boil asparagus for about 3 minutes, or until tender.
- In a saucepan, whisk together the hoisin sauce, orange juice, garlic, sesame oil, ginger, and cornstarch until dissolved.
- Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens.
- Pour on asparagus and sprinkle with pecans.
