Minty and fresh drink great for partys!
Ingredients
- Crushed ice
- 2 tablespoons Minted Simple Syrup
- 4 to 8 large fresh mint sprigs
- 6 to 8 tablespoons bourbon
- Fresh mint sprig (optional
Instruction
- Fill two tall glasses with crushed ice. Pour 1 tablespoon of the Minted Simple Syrup into each glass. (For a sweeter cocktail, add more syrup.)
- Slightly crush the 4 to 8 mint sprigs; add half to each glass. Pour half of the bourbon into each glass. Stir. If desired, garnish with additional mint.
- Minted Simple Syrup: In a small bowl, pour 1/2 cup boiling water over 1/2 cup sugar; stir until sugar dissolves. Stir in 1/4 cup lightly packed fresh mint leaves. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours. Strain mixture through sieve. Discard mint leaves. Store syrup, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Makes about 3/4 cup.
