Tender steaks in tomato sauce with veggies.
Ingredients
- 4 round eye steaks
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 diced green pepper
- 1 diced onion
- 3 chopped stalks of celery
- 1 tbsp of Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp basil
- pinch of salt
- pinch of flour
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instruction
- Sprinkle the steaks with a little flour and brown both sides in a hot pan with olive oil.
- Add onion, green pepper and celery along with the can of diced tomato (including the liquid) over the steaks.
- Add seasoning.
- Bring mixture to a boil and then bring to a simmer and cover.
- Let simmer for 2 hours or more to insure that the meat is tender.
- Serve with rice!
