Applesauce Granola Bars

Can be served as snack or dessert. Great for picnics too!

Ingredients

  • 1 c whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 c light margarine, softened
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 c cinnamon applesauce
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 c granola, broken into pieces
  • 2 tsps lemon peel, grated
  • 1/2 c light brown sugar, packed

Instruction

  1. Preheat oven to 350. prepare a 9" square pan with cooking spray; set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, margarine, applesauce, and egg. Mix well. Add lemon peel, baking soda, allspice, and salt. Stir in granola.Spread mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
