Sport Zone Bars?

Sport Fitness
My wife is looking to pick up some type of in between meal snack. She is constantly on the road, so she wants something she can wolf down while driving between clients. Any recommendation on any power bars/zone bars or whatever? They need to taste ok, but some of these things read like the same nutritional information that's on a Snickers bar.:speechless:

That's because they are the same as Snickers bars, haha. Myoplex Deluxe bars are tasty as get the **** out. Same for Metabolic Drive bars (the chocolate may as well be a brownie). Still, I wouldn't recommend them. Sorry if I'm a jerk but tell your wife not to be a lazy ass and put some effort into meal preparation. It takes all of 10 minutes to make a batch of tasty nut butter + oat + casein+/whey bars/balls. Put crap in bowl, stir, bake briefly if you want 'em firm (I likes mine all gooeylicious), leave in baggy/container in the car.

Also a lot cheaper. Ends up being well under a dollar a serving versus at best 3'ish for pre-made bars that are really just 10 cents worth of garbage mixed together.

That's some funny **** right there. She makes 3 meals a day for the kids, she also cooks lunch every day for her clients, (breakfast as well for some)
so she is pretty much maxed out when it comes to food preparation. That's why she wants something simple, no fuss, no muss.

Plus, if I ever told her to get off her lazy ass, my next response to this thread would be from either a hospital bed or a slab in the morgue. She is a hot blooded Italian with the temper to prove it. :p

Come on you ape. You wanna live forever!?

Haha, in that case, maybe the Myoplex Deluxe bars. The "girly" version (the "lite") are crunchier but funny tasting and less satisfying imo. You can usually find them on special on some website or other and get them around $2 per bar buying them by the box. Whatever you do, though, don't get the "low-carb" ones. Iirc, they're filled with sugar alcohols that have an intriguing taste and texture but give you most uncomfortable dookies.

Also maybe someone out there knows of pricier bars with high grade ingredients instead of crappy protein concentrates and poorly disguised sugars? 'Cause if you do I'd like to buy some myself.
