I saw these at wal-mart about a month ago and decided to try em..... WOW I FREAKIN LOVE THESE THINGS!!!! They're roasted almonds in a vanilla bean flavor made by blue diamond. The little canister is extremely convenient for on the go and measuring purposes... there's a measuring tab on the side that makes it super easy to tell how many are in each serving size. I would say they help you control how many you eat... but hot damn- some days I can't help myself and eat a few handfuls of em. Compared to a lot of snack foods out there these little suckers are pretty filling and healthy for ya... In moderation ofcourse :)

I keep a can at work, home, and even stick one in my purse if I'm on the run and might want a snack. I've even stuck them under my solo seat on my motorcycle to snack on when riding! :D

just thought I'd pass along something you might like!

The wasabi/tamari nuts I like better.. and the little bit of kick they have -makes a person less willing to overindulge...

I've found the "portion control' bottle to be absolutely useless.. it's too easy to go overboard...

I have the whole natural almonds, no flavoring or salt. I love them, but I measure them out in portions of 7 almonds (40 calories) at a time. I could eat the whole can easily.

I do as Mal suggested above. That's pretty much what I do with everything in advance. Makes eating on the go a breeze.

I'm also a fan of the unroasted unsalted nuts. The most I've ever been able to eat at a time was about 50, which cuts off the calories at about where I'd have to stop with any sort of lean protein. Ice cream I have to portion much more diligently, because I can get 3-4 times as many calories down if I just eat until I have to stop.

My dad once had a can of spicy honey-roasted peanuts, and those were so good that I had to stop at one nut, because the off switch just doesn't work with some foods. :)

oh so true!

I dont really have time to indiviually measure out stuff to put in baggies all the time. I do boil eggs each week and put 3 in each baggie to grab in the morning for bfast but with snacks its much easier for me to bring a stash to last me the whole week. I'm one of those that runs around in the a.m. like a headless chicken... one less thing for me to do is one less thing for me to forget!

If you find something that works for you... stick with it! :D
