Sport Your POWER SNACKS ???

Sport Fitness
OK- so nutritionally we are to go from 3 to 6-9 meals and creativity can protect us from boredom. Let's toss out some of our favorite snacks.. AND since I'm all into being naturally high as much as possible. let's make it power snacks.

Share your power snacks--

Here's what I ate about 30 minutes ago along with water and I can feel it baby! maybe it's just me pumping myself up. but here's a snack.

Red potatoe with natural peanut butter.

FF'in pumped!!!

okay that looked super gross.. BLAH

Mine isn't much better: For many breakfasts I mix natural applesauce, toasted almonds (I toast them myself) and whey protein powder. I've never had a bad workout with that combo.

edited to add: I also like natural almond butter spread on a sprouted tortilla with celery wrapped inside. If I'm looking for sweets I'll mix a packet of splenda into the almond butter. lol

I like to take natural vanilla yogurt and put dry oats in it. That is the only way I can get in those oats. Yummy!

FF, you freak!!! I love it!

I guess I don't really have power snacks...

My breakfast is 75 grams of oats blended in a whey shake with 12 g. of flax seeds and milk...750 calories of sexiness.

I don't like to eat carbs alone, so if I'm short on my carbs for the day, I'll make a snack with oats, whey, and some sugar-free preserves. I nuke the oats (in water, but you could also use skim milk), then add 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder and 1 tbsp. raspberry sugar-free preserves. Mix well. It's nutritionally sound, and if you get the proportions right, it tastes similar to those jelly-filled donuts.

dang it all. i have that PBWheyball recipe in my PM's from Calcium I believe.

ketchup on the cottage cheese.... huh,, have to try it.

750 cals of sexiness!!! hahhahaa

out of curiosity i wonder what the caloric and nutritional content of amrita is? believed t be the fountain of youth ya know *blush...

Does nobody else have a camera phone or what? pictures of stuff is fun!

This morning I had a bowl of Life cereal (yeah, I know, sugar) and couldn't find an easy protein source to go with it. Out of desperation, I grabbed a few pieces of leftover pork loin that I grilled last night. I still don't think it touches what's been mentioned so far.

I used to eat cold baked potatoes with mustard on them, lol.

Oatmeal, with Natty peanut butter, one whole banana cut into chunks, one scoop Whey chocolate protein powder, and a measured amount of milk mixed in. Stir it up good, and devour.......

ALL IN ONE POWER FOOD, BABY.

:)

Also: Long grain brown rice, one chopped chicken breast, Liquid fish/flax seed oil, and small amount of garlic. Mix and devour........

ALL IN ONE POWER FOOD.

Chillen

I usually get on food kicks and as of late Ive been eating tacos daily. Ground turkey, spinach, tomato, cheese, sauce, and burrito shells. Cant go wrong with over 45g fiber. I think my fiber intake is upwards of 75g a day...

Speaking of fiber.

Sometimes I will take FiberOne Cereal, and mix in Whey protein powder (chocolate), and some raisins, and some milk.......and devour......another power FOOD

OK-- this is what I mean--

So I ran 11 miles last night, then as a nutso ironman training person, I rode 14 or so miles into the office, so now it is 2 hours laster and I want a nap!

but--- I can't do that, so I need some power baby!! not a pepe pill, a "power snack"

so I'll go with this:

can you tell what that is?

and what is your power snack today?

Mine is yogurt. Nice all natural, whole milk, real sugar (honey and maple sugar) yogurt. I could eat 3 containers a day, but I have to limit myself to 1. They cost 80 cents a piece. More expensive than yoplait, but minus the high fructose corn syrup and toxic fake sugar. It's high in calories and high in protein. I usually eat it with a couple of bananas.
