yogurt is just fermented milk, so it's good for you like milk is. But I wouldn't say it's the holy grail in nutrition. anywho I use it mainly to replace mayo & ranch dressing in cooking (so instead of 1can tuna 1TBS mayo I use 1-2TBS plan yogurt, or spread plan yogurt on a sandwich instead of mayo. any low-non fat yogurt is just fine. most do not but some yogurts have Hydrogenated Oils and you want to avoid that. check the ingredience, it will be near the end of the list.
