Y'all make it sound so easy

I started Track today..it wasnt the hardest thing in the world but I'm definently not in my running prime. When it comes to other activities like basketball football etc . It seems my mood affects the way I run.. if I'm havin a crappy day I wont run so great and a good mood a better run etc.....So i got 1 question ...How do Y'all do it??!?!?!?

Work your way up. I didn't start out running miles, I did a lot of speed walking, then added short runs, the runs got longer and the walks got shorter.

Also, you have to breath correctly, once you get your breathing nice and even you can almost go on forever.

As far as motivation goes, I know that even if I fell like patooty, once I get started I will forget that I fell like poo and once I am finished I will feel much better (and much, much better than if I hadn't run at all, then I have to deal with my couch potato guilt which rivals my mothers Italian Catholic guilt).
