Xenadrine EFX vs. Hydroxyvcut

I'm considering both, but leaning towards Xenadrine simply due to cost. Anyone have experience with either?

I realize there are going to be some naysayers to both, but from what I've heard either might be useful for me. I plan to use it with a better balanced diet and working out 5 days a week. I'd like to lose a minimum of 50 pounds, but 75 would be nice too. I also need to significantly increase my strength. I'm trying to work out an eating habit of 4 to 6 "meals" a day, to include a protien shake or two as well.

Anyways, back to topic, I'd like to hear about any experiences with Xenadrine EFX and/or Hydroxycut (effedra free).

I do not know to much about xen. but one of my good friends regularly uses Hydroxy cut and it is working very well for him...since starting he has seen results..I have also seen his progress with my own eyes ..so what I am saying is they got me sold on there product for sure I would recommend it to anyone

If Xenadrine EFX is the one I'm thinking of, the ephedrine-free one...it's probably your best bet health-wise, considering the possible adverse effects of ephedrine (ie, heart failure!?!?)...

I tried hydroxycut for a couple of months - had to buy 3 bottles and it cost me just over £100!!

It did make me lose fat, but probably coz I didnt have enough muscle and my diet wasnt right it just made me look kiny, gaunt and unwell.

I would never use this or any similar product again becuase its way too expensive, can cause health problems, and I feel that better results can be gained just through optimising your diet.

With any thermogenic product remember to drink lots of water. I recomend .75-1.5 gallons per day. I still prefer the ephedra products myself, but they are getting hard to find in california. Personally, I feel that there are health risks in any and all thermogenics. However, we candecrease our risks by remaining true to our excessive need for water and dietary rquirements(Sorry for the spelling). I don't like hydrocuts due to the high volume of pills I was taking per day. Which ever thermogenic you choose, please read the label and pay carefull attention to the instructions as well as recomended doses.

I altered my diet, excerised (ran) at gym 4-5 days a week and lost about 40 pounds. I took xendrine but with ephreda (this was in 2001). I had a baby in 2002 and would like to take it again. It really worked for me.

I have crohn's disease now and don't think I can take anything like that anymore. But I wish I could.

I would recommend taking xenadrine. But the people that say it didn't work for them most likley didn't exercise with it.

It is not a majic pill. You have to exercise. That is the key. It will give you energy to do so.

I take the Xenadrine NRG. It is the 8 hour time release version and I like it so far. I liked the ephedrine version back in the day but stopped using it when people started dying. I have lost about 3-4 pounds in 3 weeks with some weights and cardio included a couple of times per week. I'm very busy so I don't have time to have massive amounts of gym time unfortunately.

I have just recently started using the Xenadrine NRG as well. I like it so far. Haven't been monitoring my weight though. I was very loyal to the product when ephedrine was still on the shelf. I am not sure what the results will be like. I am a heavy coffee drinker, so I am accustomed to alot of caffeine in my system. What about appetite suppression, has anyone out there used NRG long enough to notice a curb in appetite?

...along these lines has anyone noticed any side effects with xenNRG? I used the hydroxycut before and didn't have any, but the XenNRG gives me a screaming headache during heavy exertion, for instance squeezing out that last rep or two on a bench press. And that was only taking one..

I think if anyone starts an excersise program they will lose weight anyway.. maybe the pills aren't doing anything and it seems like they are since you are starting physical activity. My advice.. from experience.. try working out for a month, at least 3-4 days per week without pills and see what happens. Chances are, you will lose weight anyway, the pills aren't going to help that much unless they contain ephedra, which worked for me temporarily because you usually gain weight back if you just rely on those pills for weight loss.
