Workout Routine / Supplements

Im trying to get big for football season. Im a big guy just no muscle really. all my other friends kind of passed me up while i messed around during summer workouts. So now im trying to gain some weight and muscle. I workout at school every other day with a trainer. Then days i dont workout at school. i go to the gym at night. I need some advice. im trying to work my pecks to build up my bench. arms , triceps. and basically my whole upperbody. Give me some workout exercises to do. i usually use machines instead of free weights because there isnt a spotter. Now too suppelements. I bought some cytogainer to drink after lifting. and some creatine pills to take before. let me know what you reccomend? i would probably like something to drink before my lifting so i know its working with my body whhile im lifting. Thanks -

You better hit the lower body if you're a football player. Check out the fitness links in my sig.

THERE IS NO GOOD REASON TO TAKE A BUNCH OF PILLS, IT'S JUST GONNA BE EXPENSIVE URINE AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS GOING TO DO TO YOUR LIVER!

Protein drinks here and there if they are any good are one thing, but there is no reason to take creatine and I don't care WHAT any of these other guys say.

If you MUST use machines, then leg press and bench press and lat pulls, leg extension and curls.

BUT free weights are better... Dry dumbell bench press, flys, cable rows...

Doing any cardio? If there is a rower it may be good for one day a week..

Umm, this trainer you are working with, he can't help you? Doesn't sound like he's/she's any good.

Simply that though not really necessary, a protein drink that is just that, without added creatine or whatever else someone wants to throw into it (or too much on the sugars of all different types) would be ok. Maybe if they don't get a dietary supplement of vitamins and minerals they could get one that contains those also. I would say the best proteins to get are whey and soy, but I am not an expert on that, just what others who have more experience have discussed with me (and they just fight about what is better, whey or soy... by the way, any opinions here?).
The main thing is I think people should get more real food and depend less on the added protein drinks/bars/etc. Though they have their place, like if you have no real option and it is either eat after a workout or don't, or hiking up a mountain and carrying the bare essentials, or you don't have TIME for breakfast so you grab something....

People should concentrate on real food, that's all, don't you agree?

Mainly with creatine, that is for those who have been working out for a while, elite athletes, and not kids still growing and developing.
