Working out 2 days in a row

Im 17 and working out at home, I was wondering if it is ok to work out 2 days in a row on the same muscle if it is not sore...i juast want to clear this up and i do know that working on a sore muscle is a big no-no... thanx for your help.. :)
 
Never workout your one specific muscle without at least 48 hours rest and never more than twice in a week. If your looking for muscle growth at least. Not sure if you could do pushups everyday if just wanted tone.
 
I could hit a muscle in 6-7 mins in one day and be sore for the next three IF I WANTED. Their is no need to even think ab working the same muscle group 2 days in a row.
 
If you feel the muscle is not worked efficeintly than it is okay.Soreness is not really an accurate measure of that though. I know you are still starting out but the day will come when only one out of four or five workouts will really make you sore (that or I cant feel my arms and legs anymore cuz I have been doing this so long). Just remember that working out is not what builds the muscle. It is the recovery and exercise will disturb the recovery proccess.
