Work is getting old...

I am so over work and am tired of the manager and some of the peeps that work there...i work at Macdonald's and am seriously considering quiting and getting another job its also getting really boring and i don't really enjoy it like i used to. this is only a job while i go to the gym and get my self into the best shape of my life and then i am going to go to Brisbane fitness collage which will cost my parents 5 thousand moula which i will have to pay back of course. There is a fruit market just a 5 min walk from my house and a blockbuster and i am thinking about going round and seeing if there is any work. What do u think i should do ?

Well you're young, and working at mcdonalds suck. I personally worked there at age 16, and I only could stand it for 2 months, if even that before I called in and said I'm done with it.

A job as a cashier is much better in my opinion. I worked as one at 17-20, before I quit (I worked off and on as I called in to quit months in, then months later called back and asked for the job again). However, as with any minimum paying job, it's painful to work at. The type of people you deal with and the type of people you work with are very different with minimum paying jobs. Try reducing your hours (maybe to weekends only) and I think you can manage it better.

im 16 and 3 months away from 17. Im allso over it because people expect me to know stuff they haven't told me and when i ask how to do all these things they get amped up at me and i ****ing hate it....the crew trainer never trained me properly.

i'm 16 too man. i can't really imagine having fun working at macdonalds, personally. You might want to try something that involves being outdoors, or under the table money like lawn mowing. I meen, depending on how willing you are to work. Lawn mowing at our age can bring down some seriouse doe..at least for us.

Get out of that hell hole, the money is ****, and I used to end up eating all their junk back when i was 16 and working there as well. It's not worth you stressing over the job as well which you might be by the sounds of things. My advice is call in and say goodbye, fruit markets sounds.

:) thanks guys for the advice....im gona call in this week and quit :boxing_smiley:

Just remember that quiting this job might affect your ability to get another job. It doesn't look good on a resume to see you quit after working somewhere after only a short time.

Get the hell out of there and find another job. McDonalds is the crappiest job you can have.

How old are you?

WHOA big call there nicole. I have had far worse than working and Mc D's. Smithmachine if you want to quit just quit. Find a job your better suited to.

been working there about 4 and a half months...would i be better of saying i haven't had a job yet lol

go find a new job first, trust me bud it'll look crap on ur cv if th reason for leaving is "i quit". it'll be 10 times easier to get a new job when you have a job

stick ur cv on those job huntin websites, its how i got my current job.

and before you leave steal as many hamburbers as you can..... sell them on ebay.....

Don't think for a second that quitting mcdonalds will make you look bad. If any future work place boss takes your job at mcdonalds into serious consideration, he/she ought to be placed in a big metal container and dropped in the middle of the ocean.

Go ahead and quit. You're 16 and everyone, I mean EVERYONE, will understand why you quit mcdonalds. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, stays at a minimum workplace for more than a few months. Most younger (and older) managers understand this concept so when they hire someone who is under 25, they know that their employment is not going to last more than a few months at a time. So don't sweat it, don't worry about it. Just quit, and go with your guts.

Lol agreed, Of course that depends on how the person looking to hire you thinks. But I would say most sane people would think like this.^
