well, to 'tone' you need to reduce bodyfat, and to do that you need to watch what you eat, and how much. as long as you're taking in 10-20% fewer calories than your daily needs, you'll be shedding bodyfat.
the main supplements a woman should avoid are ones specifically targeted at increasing the male hormone testosterone.
most of those products don't work , or are sketchy to begin with, but as a woman you don't really want a lot of Test.

creatine hasn't been studied on women, but the basic nature of what it does implies it's effective for women too, but I'd take just 3g a day if you went with that.
You'll notice I didn't list fat burners or diet pills. you shouldn't need those, and a lot of them are bogus anyways.
also, what's wrong with gaining 7 pounds of muscle? that's not a whole lot, and muscle uses calories. Again, you are a woman...you don't have testicles or enough testosterone to get 'huge'.
do not confuse weight training and gaining muscle, with the female pro-bodybuilders that use anabolic steroids to achieve their masculine figures.
