Holy CRAP. That is unbelievably fast... I used to sorta luge board with my beach type skateboard and the fastest I've ever gotten on it was like 45 MPH down some of these hillls and that was scary. Can't believe this lady going almost 70!

She must have had an awesome adrelanine rush
 
the more cynical bandit in me would say that MUST be an attempt at viral advertising as 68mph is scarey fast soiled undies fast

however , them hills are probably mental over there so good luck to her , wouldnt mind taking a close look at her sexy rocket powered legs

In the article, it says she plans to frame it.

68mph is insane on a bike...so it must have been a road bike and she absolutely must have been on a hill. Think about it, on my mountain bike in my highest of high gears spinning the pedals at top-speed/rpm I can only get about 34 mph. Road bikes are geared faster, but certainly a human (yes, even Lance) can't churn 68 mph on a conventional bike. My point: she wasn't cranking to get that speed; her legs couldn't crank fast in her top gear to push to that speed. MUST have been a steep & long downhill.

Still very impressive! :D
 
I don't recall exactly, but the fastest I've been is upper 30's, lower 40's, and it felt FAST!!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine going 68. That's un, f'in, real. You keep it up lady. Maybe the bike shop will pay her fine, take the ticket and hang it in their shop. That would be cool!
