Wish me well

Although there are several posts that I would love to respond to, my time is short. Wish me well...I'm off to drive down to Dallas to compete tomorrow in the Highland Games at the Scarborough Ren Faire in Waxahachie, Texas.

ahh i wish i had prior notice i would have tried to come up there and watch.
Best of luck my friend.

Take some pictures!! Good luck evo, I know this event is a special one that you had to work really hard for. Have a good time!

Good day. Started at 9:30 and ended at 4:45. I walked away with 3 medals, and the rumor is I have a 3rd place over all seating.

I'll now be preparing for Arlington on June 2nd.

Silent, JC...come hang out at Arlington if you're close.

I dont know, My far more impresive Physique might intimidate you to much to where you are unable to compete...

:p JK

EDIT
On a more serious note. Major congrats on the medals. I'll see if i can catch a ride up there. As i have not a car to drive :(.

This wasn't at Scarborough...but these were taken at our OKC games on March 24th.

56 pounds for distance (WFD-weight for distance)

56 pounds for height (WOB-weight over bar)

SHEAF

The Thistle carry. This is an OKC "Iron Thistle" novelty event. This is done after the all day competition, and it's an option to compete or not. It's a 346 pound forged iron implement in the shape of a thistle. I managed 301 feet and wanted to die after all this.

It's a lot like a zercher carry for distance while it's cutting, scraping, bruising you.

Lol yeah i was defintly not serious when i called my Physique better.

How long have you been working out Evo?

Eh, my physique is nothing special. I've been hitting the weights for just a bit over 3 years now...started late in life and wish I had started sooner.

lol, everyone wishes they started sooner :p
1.5 years ago i tried getting a friend of mine to join me at the gym. He dident care much for "stuff like that" and said no. I told him he should start now, because if he starts later in life, he will look back and regret not starting with me. He said no way. IT all ended up with us making a bet.. long story short, he now owes me 20 bucks.

I wish i had started at like 15.. i would have been a friggin monster by now! :p
