Ok I am only 4 days into my diet and fitness regime. I would like some advice on my diet. i hate to count points or calories but I am trying to follow a low fat diet. I am 5 ft 0 and I weigh 164 lbs. My goal weight is 125- 130 lbs. I am walking/ running every day for 40 mins and also 1 hour of a fitness dvd.
This is what I ate today
Breakfast* Bowl of porridge with low fat milk and tea
Lunch* 2 slices of wholemeal bread with turkey
snacks* satsuma and pear
Dinner* 1 boiled potato, sprouts, cabbage, carrots and chicken/ 1 glass of diet coke
Evening* 2 cups of tea with low fat milk and sweeteners

This would be a typical diet I am following and I was just wondering would it be enough. Oh I have also had a few glasses of water not sure how many.
love some feedback :cheers2:

First thing I would personally do is check portion sizes. A bowl of oatmeal can vary in many people's eyes. Try measuring and you might find that handy so that you can see exactly how much you're eating. Same with the milk.
For your lunch- is it just 2 dry slices of bread and turkey, or do you have mayo or veggies on there? Margarine, butter? How much turkey. Again, check this out- it helps a lot when you're trying to analyze what you ate and reasons why the scale might not be budging.

That being said- I think your "diet" is fine (I use quotation marks cause I just hate that word diet) - except you're missing fruits and veggies! Try incorporating a salad in your lunch and a banana or grapefruit with your breakfast.

I personally think diet cola is horrible - but there's certainly worse things out there! You could try substituting with water and a bit of lemon juice. And of course, try to get your 8 glasses of water in a day so that you aren't dehydrated when you're working out.

And yup, measure that chicken, potatoes and such. Looking at your food, it could really range between 1200 and 2500 calories depending on how much chicken and potatoes and milk you're consuming. Know what I mean? Since you hate counting calories, you can always try just counting portion sizes so that you are keeping track of what you eat some how.

Good luck! Now I'm hungry :/
