will i really notice the difference??

Hi,

I'm trying to increase my muscle mass and am wondering if taking a protein supplement will really make that much of a difference in my gains?

I weigh about 158 and i get around 80-100g of protien per day.

thanks

If you are trying to build muscle you need to get at least 1 gram of protien per pound of lean body mass. So, you should shoot for 150+ grams per day, perferrably from real food, but using protien shakes to get the required protien if necessary.

hey mustang, sounds good that your trying to increase your lean body mass. but i would reccommend against using these artificial protein supplements. you can gain a substantial amount of muscle without subjecting your body to these dirty shacks. i done it myself. all i did was make a concientious effort to get more protein in. so all you need to do is add a chicken breast where you may have had maccaone for example. it sounds like effort but really its very easy, just up the tune and chicken intake esspecially after a weight workout and you will notice a big difference so long as your routine is good.
hope this helps

you'll need more protein if you wanna mass up. whether its from a quality supp like Nitrean or ON brand protien, or from meat, eggs, and dairy.

either way...more protein.

Did you mean 1 gram per pound of bodyweight (which would be 150grams)?
