Hello,

I have been ill and put on some weight. I would rather not say at this time what my health condition is, I hope that's ok with everyone.

The good news is I feel good now, my strength is back. I know for a fact I cant use weights, rowing machines, etc.

But I can walk on my treadmill, I'm actually up to 2 miles a day now, for me that is a real bonus. My questions is with a healthy diet will it be enough to get rid of the weight.

Hi Sunshine51

Nice to meet you.

In a nutshell, yes. As long as your using more calories than your body requires you will lose weight. I fast twice a week and eat 'normally' for the rest of the week and have lost a pile of weight. I don't do too much cardio but I do lift weights at least 3 times a week. The weight I have lost though has come from an overall reduction in calorie consumption.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thank you for replying, yes I have cut down on my calorie intake, strange you should mention about fasting. I dont totally fast but I do eat light a few days, in fact I feel in the better for it. Congrats on your weightloss, I bet you feel great now.

Hey

I do feel a lot better... Now my problem is I need to buy new clothes :p

On the resistance training front, could you train with bands or body weight exercises? If so it maybe something worth looking into.

Take care

Mark
