im 14 years old, im 6foot tall, 230lbs. i run track- throwing shot put, discus and run the 100 meter (i run more than i throw), i play aau basketball during the track season. im looking to lose some weight, lower body fat or both. i have a multi-function home gym by marcy, bicycle, jump rope, i can run inside(tredmil) or outside (road-track) and i have about 1-2 hours a night, uasally. tell me what to do and ill do it.

Those numbers sound a bit high for a 100 meter runner eh?

what is your reason for losing the weight? What are your goals?

for fun, here is a lil workout for you.....

jumpr rope:
3 solid minutes at double jump speed. Anytime the rope stops, you have to drop and do 25 pushups, and attempt the 3 minutes again. Keep it up until you either have done 3 solid minutes, or you have done 200 pushups.

actually, you are only 14, make it 5 minutes.

then use a leather rope, and take off your shoes.

:D

welcome to the forum.

goals- i want to be able to run for while, so i can play basketball longer, and harder. Basketball is what my life is all about, other sports and things only fill my time, and my need for competion.
wanting to jump higher too, and maybe throw shot farther.

numbers are way high for a 100m sprinter, my track team only has 8 girls in all so i have to run.

reason i want to be healthy, lighter so i can run faster, and fit.

Right, just because I've met 3 different situations like this today and each one has ended up in the same way...

Are you 6ft without shoes or with shoes? and are you sure you are 230. Because I can't see anybody being that heavy and being able to run...

Alright. Well. Cut your calorie intake by 500ish calories per day. Hit the cardio and throw in some weight work to strengthen up.
