Why lose weight?

Obesity causes 9,000 premature deaths in England every year
and reduces life expectancy by an average of nine years.
It's also linked to serious health problems and increases the risk of type 2 diabetes,
heart disease and cancers of the breast, colon and prostate.
Most people who are overweight can blame their excess weight
on eating more calories than they burn.
That means there are two main options if you want to lose weight:
eat less or do more physical activity.

Perhaps contrary to most people's beliefs, I find that drinking beer helps me to lose weight. When I drink beer, I lose my appetite entirely. I understand that the general medical profession will tell you otherwise, but I don't believe the general medical profession know what they are talking about much of the time. Nevertheless, that's merely my own personal view.

I had a period where the vodka water, cran was consumed more than any other meal. Average beer has around 150 calories. If you were going to stay home and eat a whole pizza to yourself you'd equal a two-four of beer at a party with friends less the hangover :)
 
You do not have to eat less to lose weight.

What you need is a well-balanced diet of rice/noodles/bee hoon, meat, fruits and vegetables in right proportions be it fried or steamed.

Most importantly, drink plenty of water.

All these along with the regular exercise be it outdoors like jogging or indoors like gym workout.
