Why is it harder for some and not others?

Hi guys!

I spent the last hour reading through the forum and there's so much that I learned.

One thing I noticed is that many people know how to lose the weight (eat pretty healthy, get more active), but still have so much trouble actually losing weight.

Why is this?

Is it using food emotionally? Being motivated? Having the right information?

If someone can give you one thing to help you lost weight, something realistic- (not a super pill, a detox tea or any other quick fix), what would it be?

For me, it would be delicious healthy recipes. I don't want this whole weight loss thing to feel like a burden.

And eating healthy, but incorporating lots of flavor, has helped me long-term.

What would help you finally lose that weight?

Hello Ray,

I don't have much feedback regarding that specific topic but I am going to follow this thread too -- I've came to a point in my life that I know I need to lose the weight, but literally all I do is go to work, come home from work (grab a bite to eat from some fast-food joint) and then relax.. I am gaining weight every single day, and at some point it's going to be too late so I am really interested to read and see what people have to say about motivation.

Thanks for the reply Matt!

I'm so interested in figuring how what makes people actually do it vs knowing they have to do it and still not getting it done.

I know it was a process for me and I just woke up one day, tired of being lazy and having an excuse for everything. I had to just decide in that moment that either I would do it or wouldn't. The back and forth was too much for me.

Of course I still have my days but deciding has really helped me move forward.
