Why am I tired after working out?

Hi beautiful people,
Details: I don't eat before cardio in the morning. About 22min. interval treadmill. But, then I work about 12 machines in the gym for upper and lower body about 3times a week. I am starving when I'm done. Then I want to sleep for 2 hours. I just started working out about 3weeks ago. What can I do so that I'm not tired after working out, or will it go away?
Love,
Kristee

1st of all, thats a lot to work the whole body 3x a week... the others on this forum can help u with that... but i would eat a high protein/carb. meal about 30 minutes before you workout, then eat another meal after you workout...

i love you too..:p

hey there,
Fasted cardio in the morning is good and reasonable, but I suggest you eat before and after strength training. Your giving your body a hard time.

Am I reading this right? You get up and do fasted cardio then go straight to the machines for a full body workout - all before breakfast??!! You need fuel before you hit the weights so, I would move that element of your training to later in the day.

No wonder you're tired!

Kristee, You are not getting the fuel you need to bust through these workouts. Carbs will give you that energy. Take there advice and eat before and after your workout. Make sure your getting a good protein breakfast.. Actually what are you eating? On a given day whats your diet like?

I don't have the time to go to the gym 2x a day. So can I eat a carb bar or something immediately after cardio, and then hit the weights?

Whether you're bulking, or cutting, you NEED to eat! If you have nothing to burn while working, you're just making yourself tired, and getting yourself no results.

Read around the nutrition forum to get some tips.

Hi Kristee,
Personally, I would eat something before going to gym. Then I would do your machine workout ( free weights are much better though :) ) then do your cardio. Eat again after working out.

Oh no, don't even ask. I don't have it planned yet. Still trying to get it right. You don't want to know. It's sickening! I can't even write out a list like the others do. Okay, now I feel like a mess. I'll work on it.

Kristee ..take a deep breath, now exhale. You're not gonna change everything ovenight. This is a lifestyle. You gradually improve yourself, make adjustments and modifications when needed. Take it one day at a time. You want to make the change, so you will. There are lots of peeps on here with darn good knowledge to help you with this. And we will help you. You're not alone.

Thank you so much. You make it feel like it's possible.

Okay from the sounds of it.. I take it not alot at all? The object is not to eat little lose more.. you need to eat.. but eat right and you will lose more. Your body feeds off your food for energy.. specificly yours carbs.. if you are consuming little or no carbs.. your energy is shot.. your fatigued.. you'll get stomach pains.. you'll feel str8 up like ****.. before and esp. after a workout. Feed your body the food before the workout, bust your ass, and by the time your done.. you will have burned that food.. plus more.

Some of this you may know.. maybe all. Just a refreshers course.. Were all here for reasons of fitness. Like JPC said you are not alone. It will get better.. and as results come in your motivation will go up. If you need some motivation just ask. ;) And yes its VERY possible.. and will happen for you.

its really tiring after having a workout. just have a lot of water intake right after to replanish the liquids that you released.

along with a protein shake maybe in order to survive until your big bad PWO meal is done ;)
meaning you should eat as soon as possible after working out.
