Whole egg's or just egg whites?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but anyways.

I've heard that eggs/egg whites are such a good source of protein. I'm basically wanting info on the protein content in eggs. My main question is, is it okay to be eating a whole egg's in a protein diet or should I be only having the egg whites? Is it un-healthy to be having too many whole eggs, or is it just the egg whites I should be having?

Also, does anyone know if adding eggs to a protein shake is beneficial/worthwile or the normal thing to do?

Thanks for any help! I would really appreciate it!

I can offer you this-my friend has been eating a dozen whole eggs a day for the last month and went and had his cholesterol checked...it's lower than it's ever been.

I don't think that it's necessay to add eggs to your protein shake, specially if they're uncooked.

if you get full on eggs quickly, use fewer yolks and more whites. less fat, so slighly less filling.

A couple yolks with 5 whites is about 23g of protein, and retains the consistency of whole eggs scrambled.
If you've ever done straigh egg whites scrambled, you'll understand the 'consistency' comment :)
