Hi everyone:)

Just interested in knowing how everyone went with xmas day meals.

I did deviated slightly - I started the day very positive and even resisted the nibbles for a very long time but lunch wasn't served till late so I chewed on a few celery sticks with a little salmon dip. Can you beleive their was no plan salad. I mixed proteins only because their was hardly any turkey left by the time I reached it so had 3 prawns and half a morten bay bug:eek: and bean salad was the only option everything else had mayo in it.
I had a little dessert couldn't resist:( (sorry).

On a good note I only had very small portions stuck to water, diet soda and soda water.

I didn't have dinner my stomach had really reacted to lunch by becoming very bloated even though i had only small portions. Had 2xcups of tea with a little skim milk.

I am really proud that I did not have any CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!! this is my major weakness. And we received lots of box's.......as you do at this time.

So overall I don't think I did to bad, but I am certainly glad Christmas day is over and I can get back on track with Cohen's.

SO HOW DID EVERYONE ELSE GO?

All the best

Sam:)

STARTED COHENS 11/12/06

Xmas this year was at our place, so we had the family over...and boy temptation was there! Prawns, ham, pork, chicken. So many salads...pasta, potato, coleslaw, and no-plan. So many nibbles and chocolates, and xmas savouries and fruit salads and pudding (which i thankfully never had a taste for) and custards and icecream.

But i am pleased to say, that i didnt deviate once throughout the whole day. I woke up and ate my cauliflower and cheese, had my lunch pre-made - so that just got whipped out at lunch and ate an orange at desert! The thing i was most pleased with though, was not being tempted at all by any of the things in front of me. I did ALOT of baking for xmas day, and everything just smelt so different than from last year! lol! Bad different - sugary and starchy.

The only thing i had a slight drama with was grapes. I LOVE GRAPES. I can eat bunch after bunch after bunch, an obscene amount. And we had grapes in the fruit salad, and it wasnt that i was tempted. It was just acknowledging that in a normal circumstance i would have eaten them. But i didnt eat them, it was at that stage i grabbed another bottle of water lol!

I hope everybody survived the day, and if you did deviate dont worry about it. It was one day. Be proud of yourself for coming this far! :p

Hello everyone

Well I well and truley blew it. I ate the chocolates and the honey roasted cashew nuts, the turkey and gravey roast potatoe's oh and the list could go on.

Anyway today is a new day and i'm back on cohens 1000% I'm putting all of the chocolates we received in the freezer so there is not as much of a temptation, it's once a year and I have lost 33 kilo's so I think that deserved some sort of reward, I think I only wanted all of the bad things cause I knew I wasn't allowed them, so when I'm finised this eating plan I think it will be alot different.

Anyway cya all later, and happy new year, ( I am not deviating now until I finish refeed.)

I deviated too but had decided to a couple of days ago.

Back on plan today and won't deviate now until I reach my goal.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

I made it

Well we had my family yesterday and today we had my in-laws and I am so proud of myself. I stuck to the plan with my veges pre-weighed and only had to cook them up just before lunch. Had chicken like everyone else and if I deviated it may only have been the weight as I estimated the difference of pre cooked and cooked and figured about 20-25gms difference. No desserts, no nibbles, no wine:(. Our families were wonderful, no-one offered me anything, no pressure to have just a little of this or that, I am so proud of them for that. The compliments and recognition from all was enough to help get me through the 2 events. I had decided to stick to the plan so in the end it was quite easy.
Now the temptation is what to do with the leftovers. Back to work tomorrow but my hubby is off for another week so between him and the boys (2 teenagers) they should manage to polish some of the goodies off while I'm not home.
Well done all, even if you deviated, at least you are more aware of what was going in your mouth and know that it is time to get back to it.

I overate a bit, But i more than made up with it by walking for 2.5 hours afterwards. Got a few blisters and no guilt for my hassle though.
Was great to have some cheesecake and mousse etc :D

Hello Wishes:)

Chelsea meant no disrespect but this part of the forum is set up for those on the Cohen's programme only.
Maybe you could set up a similiar thread asking the same question through the general board.
No hard feelings meant.
Take care
Sam:)

What a load of elitist bollocks.

Do i ever tell you not to post OUTSIDE of the cohans threads? Of course not!

I was not stirring trouble or being disrespectful. I was just joining in a conversation which was not even cohans related.

Perhaps you need to go start a Cohans specific forum rather than a generic weight loss one?

Wishes,
That is exactly the point! This is a Cohens specific forum!!!!!!! IF you look at the thread at the top, it reads
Weight Loss Forum > Weight Loss Methods > Cohen's Lifestyle > Who Survived The Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This section of the weight loss forum is for those who are on the Cohens Lifestyle Clinic.
We are not being elitist, but the Cohens program is very specific and it generally is not helpful to have people talking about lots of different styles of food and exercise

well........

Every one seems to have done really really well over the xmas period!!!

I was a very naughtly girl. and had 4 bad days of deviation. it wasn't planned, it just kinda happened. I take full responisibility for it (although i'm really tempted to try and blame it on my other half!!!) Not only did i eat non cohens, but both of us smoked like trains for 3 days straight(we quit smoking in feb 06) my body is really not impressed!

I weighed myself this morning and have gained 2 kilo!

The body is such a delicate thing especially when it is in weight loss mode.
Oh well.

Have a wonderfull week everyone

I made it

Hi all

Well I made it through Xmas day. I didn't deviate once. I wouldn't even try the dip I made for the prawns. Dinner was at our house so I was rather busy. I really didn't have time to stop and think about all the food I was preparing. I made the stuffed chicken and roast vegies for lunch and had kiwi for dessert.
The next day was weigh and measure and I lost 2.4kg from last week and 11cm (I do cheat and weigh as well as measure each week). I was soooooo tickled pink that I didn't deviate.

I hope you all have a great new year and remember to look at the skinny person in the mirror.

LOL
Allana ;)

I had just completed re-feed a week before Xmas. Happy to say I started the day at exacly my goal of 58kgs. Ate all that was on offer, just smaller quanitites. Am even happier to say that today the 27th I weighed in at 57.8kgs, YIPPEE!!!

Weak As P***

I SOOOOOO BLEW IT!! I was planning to deviate for Christmas Day but not for the two whole days that followed!!! AARRGGhhhhh:( So this is how it went down. - 35 people over to my house for Christmas dinner with ALL the trimmings!!! Well yes siree there was an aweful lot of left overs!! Hence my miserable performance! I was 66.8kg Christmas morning (Monday) and then after 3 days of serious indulgence I went up to 68.2kgs! But I have been back on the Cohens Wagon for 2 and a half days and I am back down to 66.2!! YAY!!! It dropped off really quickly which I am really lucky and grateful for. I think my body needed a bit of a shock to the system as I was losing incredibly slowly before my blunder! In any case it is onwards and upwards from here on in, I am pretty over this whole thing and want it to be finished soo badly!
Oh by the way I certainly don't recommend pigging out for 3 days to shock your body in to losing quicker!! I am just very lucky but it could have done the opposite, it wont be happening again!! Here's to a great New Year and great new beginnings to everyone!! And a very alcohol free evening tonight!!! :D
