white skin or fake tan?

just curious to what everyone thinks looks better. pale skin or fake tan.

i use self tanner during summer but it is so high maintenance and the hands, feet and face always wear off before the rest of the body and always sweat it off at the gym. i dont know if its worth all the effort.:)

geez man fake tan for sure.

Yeah, but if you're naturally 'white' you'll regret it when you're in your 30's or older...lots of wrinkles, freckels etc.

I'd stick with the fake tan, it's a bit of maintenance but...

I get tans really easily. So I could say for me. It depends on the person, some girls I see that are pale, look weird. Sometimes it looks REALLY good on the girl. My ex was really pale, and it didn't bother me at all... If she would have gotten a fake tan, it would have looked weird on her.

i have blonde hair, blue eyes and very pale skin but i look so much better and toned with fake tan ( i cant get a real one and dont want to get wrinkles) but i train everyday and always get the tell tale signs that it is fake ( sweat marks etc)
my husband doesnt mind either way but does it really matter to the guys when you can tell it is a fake tan:)

I fail to see how a fake tan will assist with this. wrinkles will occur naturally whatever fake tan you use. Or, are we suggesting here that a fake tan can prevent the skin from ageing?

No Chris a fake tan will NOT aid you in not getting wrinkles. However, it's a proven fact that too much sun exposure is not good for the skin and WILL make you look older before your time

that's the point I was getting at...silly :p

(I was commenting on the post above mine, I guess I should have quoted it...)

The only way to wrinkles from sunlight is if your one of those ladies who sit out for HOURS with the aluminum foil thing reflecting sunlight EVERYDAY of your life as in theres something about mary movie. You catch some rays today, some 2mrrow, maintain good tan skin.. you will NOT be as described. Enjoy the sunlight while its out there.. go for 30 mins.. go inside... go out for nother 20.. you should be set. Letting your skin get to a leather texture is the one's that will wrinkle. Tanning lotion or sun block will assist you.

The only person I've seen bust out WHITE WHITE WHITE skin and still look pretty good is Nicole Kidman.. everyone for the most part looks good with some bronze.

Well, I'm no expert but I'll tell you guys something I was told a while back that has always stuck with me...

When you see an old(er) woman, notice her face, then her hands and arms and finally her stomach. The face will always look more worn because it has seen more sun.

Wether true or not, I've tried to stay out of the sun and now that I'm in my 30's people still mistake me for 20 something.

I know that it isn't just from staying away from the sun but the lifestyle I lead as well and that makes me feel good LOL :p

oh definately sun wears ur skin out, and will eventually make u look older and more wrinkley, but at the same time a healthy amount of sun provides vitamin E for your skin, which nourishes it!

white skin definitely. those fake products make you look orange lol at least on most cases. and being really white is not that bad. suntanned skin is overrated lol

oh and about that crispy skin as a result to excessive exposure lol yuck.. it's kind of repulsive and not to mention skin cancer

Thats taking it to a degree.

Moon by all means your entitled to what you want to say.. but the only thing I had against was the fact that if its excessive.. if your looking for a tan here, tan there and not BOILING in the sun everyday then you will still look as good now and 20 years from now..

Its only when people overdue it.. get a burgundy color everyday of there life.

What you said is factually, but its only on extreme direct sunlight everyday of your life. :)

Or maybe I should have paid more attention to the thread before posting ;)

Fake tan is gross if you ask me. Real tans are the way to go.
