Sport white eggs//full eggs

Sport Fitness
Hi, I've been reading that some people that workout, prefer to eat white eggs, instead of the full egg.
Why do they do this?
Is it something with their nutrition plan?

thanks for any response...

if you want a good amount of protein from eggs(which is one of the BEST forms of protein around) then you should eat 2 whole eggs and 3+ more egg whites.
the yolk has a lot of the protein and has good fats that you should get.

The main reason I think is that yolks are very high in cholesterol (66% of your daily limit per yolk). It's worth remembering though that not all of this will be absorbed by the body.
Also, the egg white is almost fat free and high in protein making it a perfect natural protein additive to your diet

It's quite simple really.

The yolk contains fat and protein where as the white contains protein only. So if that meal requires one to have a fat and they choose to have it come from the yolk of an egg then all they have to do is measure out how much fat is required for that meal and determine how many yolks to ingest.

Some may argue that the yolk is bad for you due to it's cholesterol properties however that myth was de-bunked long ago. You'd have to comsume mass quanities of yolks in order for them to be bad for you. Of course you'd want to keep them to a minimum if you have a history of high cholesterol.

how many yolks is considered too much?

I eat 5 whole eggs every day for breakfast, including the yolk. That works out to 25-30 per week. Am I putting myself at risk for a heart attack??

it all depends on how much fat you are consuming during the rest of the day.
