Which will tone my bum best - running or cycling?

I like to run and cycle, and am trying to tone my bum, and shift a few stubborn dimply patches of cellulite.

After months of running (between 15 and 20 km a week), I can see a better tone in my upper thighs and bum, but am not a bit bored of running and am wondering if cycling will work as well?

I also want to tone / strengten my core which the running has been great for (have developed a nice six pack). Will cycling maintain this?

If I cycle for 2 hours (up and down hills near where I live), is this better / the same / worse than running for 1 hour?

Thanks

Here is a link to a chart that shows calories burned for a whole bunch of activities.

You may want to throw some squats and lunges into your routine to help firm up your rear end.

If you're bored, I think that adding some cycling in there is a great idea. If you want to maintain and/or improve your core strength while cycling, make sure you have really good posture on the bike! You don't have to be sitting upright, but make sure that you don't hunch your back a lot.

As for toning the bum, walking and running up hills will be slightly better for glute activation. Biking up hills shouldn't be too much different in terms of glute activation, although your legs will obviously have to work much harder!
