Sport Which type of cereal is better...

in terms of health. I'm looking to build more muscle and I'm starting to get more active, I'd like your opinions on which cereal I should eat. All of the cereals have similar compositions of vitamins and minerals.

Kellogg’s Special K

Calories: 110
Sodium: 220 mg.
Potassium: 60 mg.
Total Carbohydrates: 22g.
Dietary fiber: less than 1g
Sugars: 4g.
Other carbs: 18g.
Protein: 7g.

Healthy Advantage Muesli

Calories: 190
From fat: 30
Total fat: 3g.
Polyunsaturated Fat: 1.5g
Monounsaturated fats: 1g
Sodium: 290 mg.
Potassium: 190 mg.
Total carbohydrates: 42 g.
Dietary fiber: 8 g.
Sugars 15g.
Other carbs: 19 g.
Protein 5 g.

Quaker Oat Bran

Polyunsaturated fats: 1 g.

the ingredients will tell the true story over the numbers. are they made with good stuff?
 
The ingredients are:

Kellogg’s- Rice, wheat gluten,sugar,defatted wheat germ, salt, high fructose corn syrup, dried whey, malt flavoring, calcium caseinate

Quaker- Oat bran, whole wheat flour, sugar, corn flour, baking soda, calcium carbonate, salt, caramel color, reduced iron, sodium ascorbate, niacinamide, zinc oxide, vitamin E, vitamin A, palmitate, thiamin mononitrate, pyridoxine, hydrochloride (lol sounds dangerous), riboflavin,folic acid BHT added to prserve freshness

Muesli- Raisins, whole barley, whole wheat and wheat bran, corn oats, dates, sugar, alimonds, rice, corn syrup, salt, malt flavoring.

In my opinion, thats the best of the 3.

Also, try

Look up foods, they give a breakdown, and grade it, showing the good and bad.

Why?

you should get 3g of fiber for every 100 calories. This exceeds that, while the other 2 don't come close.
Sodium is a little high, but if you're not salting the rest of yoru daily food, you'll be fine.
main reason the sugar content is higher is due to the raisins.

second best is the oat bran, and the last is Special K.

not saying Special K is bad, just not the best of the 3.
 
Check out Kashi GoLean. It aint the greatest tasting, but when you need a quick breakfast, it gets the job done.

if you can, just buy ordinary shredded wheat biscuits...or even better, old fashioned oatmeal.

with either, you can sweeten with splenda instead of sugar, and add cinnamon, berries...etc
