Which to do first? Cardio or weights?

I usually do my cardio before I lift weights because I absolutely HATE cardio at the gym so I like to get it out of the way. However, I've heard some say that you should do weights before cardio? What are the benefits to this?
 
Cardio First

I heard that cardio should be done first as it raises your heart rate and makes strength training more effective. I do it first myself because I find it harder so I like to get it out of the way.
 
Weights before cardio. Better utilization of your energy substrates. Also, best to do the more energy intensive activity first. Doing cardio, which is low intensity relative to resistance training, negates the energy you have to devote to weights.
 
Personally I find it really hard to do a lower body weight workout after I run anyway. My muscles are already exhausted and I can't lift as much for as long. If I lift first though I don't have a problem running after for just as long/hard as usual. So I just perfere to lift first.
