Protein, multi-vitamin, Fish/flax oil, and creatine.

Supplement FAQ

I'd even go as far as saying creatine is optional.

The minimums: fish oil (because we simply don't get enough Omega-3).

Anything else can be over come with a proper diet. However, if you can't eat that much protein, then you may have to suppliment with a protein powder.

If you want to make sure you're getting enough vits and mins, then a good multi-vit is recommended. Make it a good one, because many will pass through as a solid with little ingestion.

Definitely agree with Cynic on everything he says. Remember, supplements are not the secret to packing on lean mass. They should only be used as a supplement to a whole, natural food plan. If you whole, natural food plan is perfect, there is no need for supplementation. Supplements merely fill the gaps, which most of us have in our diets.

I would head to the grocery store before you head to GNC!

k cheers, i live in the UK, so ill get my Whey from holland and barretts, its half price, and they also sell fish oil capsuales.... so where shud i get my multi vits and creatine? can you see if it can get it from the site? cheers

at the moment, just anythin, im startin the 1st oct.. will consist of chicken, oats, nuts, cottage cheese, fruit, veg, no daily plan yet either, wanted to know the best supplements

Yea I got that. I would not go wasting your money on supps until you get your nutrition plan down solid. If you start taking supps before you nutrition is on point, that is exactly what you will be doing.... wasting money.

yea i see your point, thats what im gonna be doin from now till 1st oct, gettin my diet down, which supplements wud u get from tho?

the point strout is trying to make is that supplements are exactly that...supplement to your diet. e.g if you dont have enough protein to meet your requirements you take whey.

you see, you need the one before you can determine the other

No, not true.
One can eat salmon several times a week, and servings of nuts, to eliminate fish oil.
Enough whole protein eliminates the need for whey.
and creatine isn't required...you already have 'enough' creatine...extra just helps, but only if the rest of your diet is right first.

So literally, you MUST get your diet squared away first before even thinking about supplments.

k good stuff cheers
